According to preliminary collision reports from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) and other participating law enforcement agencies in Orlando, a 31-year-old drunk driver plowed his vehicle through the crime scene of a fatal two-car collision along Hoffner Avenue late Friday evening. Arresting officers have indicated that the Brevard County resident was nearly four times the legal intoxication limit at the time of his arrest following the accident.

Moped Driver Dies After Collision in Melbourne
Police officers within the city of Melbourne are involved in an investigation into an accident that took place during the night of Tuesday, November 10th, and resulted in the death of a 62-year-old woman. The woman, a Melbourne resident, was driving her moped down East University Boulevard shortly before the incident took place.
According to the reports, the 62-year-old was alone on the moped at the time of the crash. It is believed that they were traveling down a different road when they reached the intersection of East University and this other road. The 62-year-old then entered the eastern lanes of East University Boulevard.

15-Year-Old Bicyclist Dies After Being Struck by 2 Cars in DeLand
A community in DeLand was left in mourning after a fatal bicycle accident occurred towards the end of October and resulted in the death of a 15-year-old. The reports from the Florida Highway Patrol indicated that the incident took place sometime during the night, likely around 10:00 p.m. At this time, a car was traveling down the northern lanes of Spring Garden Avenue. The car was in the outermost lane of Spring Garden Avenue and was closing in on the intersection between this road and Euclid Avenue. At the same time, a second car was also traveling down the northern lanes of Spring Garden Avenue and nearing the same intersection. The second car is believed to have been traveling in the inside lane.
Orlando Police Department Officer Involved in Violent Collision
An officer with the Orlando Police Department is one of several individuals who was involved in an auto accident that took place during the afternoon of Monday, October 26th, say reports from this same agency. What we know at the time of this writing is that it was sometime after 4:00 when police officers received an emergency dispatch that caused certain officers, including the one involved in the crash, to speed towards an unspecified location.
