Toyota Model Recall: 2009-2010 Toyota Venza
The Toyota Venza is one of the newest additions to the Japanese automaker’s product line. This crossover vehicle combines some appealing aspects of a sport utility vehicle or SUV with a sedan design to provide customers with a new alternative for a five-passenger vehicle. Some of the handy gear and features in the Venza include a variety of pet friendly features like a roomy rear hatch and tethers.
The Toyota Company has been dealing with the results of a massive recall involving the Venza and many other traditional Toyota offerings. Millions of Toyota vehicles have been recalled after customers complained of “sudden or unintended acceleration” in Toyota vehicles.
A two-part recall involves a recall of floor mats, and a recall of sticky gas pedals. Of these two, only the floor mat recall affects Venza models from 2009-2010, according to Toyota. Toyota is advising Venza drivers to take floor mats out of their vehicles if they are covered by the widespread recall.
Unfortunately, for those who have taken advantage of Toyota’s new Venza vehicle, the recall situation and the safety issues around it continue to dampen the enthusiasm over this innovative vehicle featuring high design audio technology and more. The reality of the situation is that Venza drivers and others affected by the Toyota recall must be extremely careful, as faulty acceleration can cause accidents and injuries on the road.
If you were injured in an accident as a result of a defective Toyota Venza, the Law Offices of James O. Cunningham, P.A. is available to discuss a claim against the Toyota Company for the recovery of costs associated with injuries and damages.
