The vaping craze that swept the nation over the past few years has become a noticeable public health disaster, with numerous incidents of severe injury and death occurring due to the products. In Florida, a second death due to health complications from vaping was reported as having taken place this December.
Speeding Crash Near Tampa Results in Fatalities
Members of the Tampa Police Department were among officials on hand during the week of Monday, November 18th, to make sure that people traveling down K-Bar Ranch Parkway inside of New Tampa were obeying all posted speed limit signs. The reason for the sudden influx of police officers in the area relates to an incident that took place on that Monday when several teenagers were killed after the car in which they were traveling left the roadway and crashed along the shoulder. An initial investigation into the fatal auto accident determined that speed was the primary contributing factor to the crash.
One Dies in Single-Car-Crash Near Tampa
A single-car crash in Tampa late in November was then subjected to a detailed investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol as they attempted to uncover just what happened within the vehicle to cause the incident. Reports from the FHP stated that a 54-year-old Seffner woman was behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry and traveling down the northern lanes of State Road 618 when she approached the intersection between this road and the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway sometime around midnight on the day in question.

Head-On-Crash in Seminole County Leaves One Dead, Two Injured
A head-on collision that took place within Seminole County on Monday, December 2nd, resulted in the death of a 48-year-old individual as well as the critical injury of an 18-year-old and the serious injury of a third person. The incident was reported as having taken place along State Road 46, close to where it intersects with Bella Foresta Place, just east of Longwood Markham Road.

Kissimmee Crash Between Dump Truck and Jeep Results in Fatality
On the morning of Monday, December 2nd, a dump truck carrying a full load of sand was traveling down Osceola Parkway, close to the intersection with Storey Lake Boulevard. It was shortly after 8:00 in the morning, and the 50-year-old driver of the truck was on the job hauling the sand to an unknown location. At this same time, a 22-year-old was behind the wheel of a Jeep SUV, also driving down Osceola Parkway.
11-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies in Sanford Accident
Officials working within Seminole County have issued a report on a terrible pedestrian accident that took place within the city of Sanford and resulted in the death of an 11-year-old child. The incident that cost the young person their life happened on Saturday, November 23rd, as the child was presumably crossing the roadway. At the time of this writing, it is not known if the incident took place near to the child’s home or if the child was accompanied by any guardian. The reports only stated that the fatal encounter between the young person and the car took place at the intersection between 25th Street and Hartwell Avenue and that it was at some point during the evening of Saturday.
Two Motorcyclists Die in Brevard County Accident
A motorcycle crash that took place within Brevard County during the end of November is behind the death of two individuals who were on a motorcycle and headed down the northern lanes of U.S. 1. Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol working within the county indicated that the incident took place sometime during the day on Sunday, November 24th. What exactly caused the accident was not included in the information compiled for the initial report, suggesting that the investigation into the incident remains ongoing and incomplete.
Two Construction Workers Injured in Brevard County Incident
An investigation into a construction accident in Viera continues as officials working within Brevard County attempt to uncover just what happened on Saturday, November 23rd, to cause a crane to collapse while it was in the process of being used in the construction of a hotel located along Metfield Drive. The reports from the Brevard County Fire Rescue teams indicated that two individuals were injured in the accident, and that both of these people were employed as construction workers on the project where the crane was being used.
