Four Cars Involved in Fatal Polk County Crash

A collision between five cars happened within Polk County early in June that left one person dead and four others suffering from a range of severe injuries. According to the reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident was first reported close to 6:30 on the morning of Thursday, June 4th. It is not known who placed the initial emergency calls to the authorities, although we do know that they arrived shortly after the calls were made, possibly allowing EMTs and paramedics much needed time with the crash victims and thus preventing even more fatalities.

Marion County Two-Car Crash Kills One, Critically Injures Another

Florida Highway Patrol troopers are among those investigating a fatal car crash that took place during the evening of Sunday, May 31st, within Marion County. Reports from the FHP have provided the public with much of the information regarding the incident, although not all of the details have yet become public. It is not clear if the Florida Highway Patrol have concluded their investigation or if there are still details which remain to be uncovered and released. At the time of this writing it is not clear if any charges are pending against anyone involved in the incident.

Reduction in Traffic Accidents After Quarantine Measures Across Florida

While most of the news around the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is grim, a report from the Tampa Bay Times offers us a glimpse into one of the not-so-obvious side effects of the disease’s spread. With the measures of quarantine in place, combined with the drastic reduction of people going to work (a crisis that is its own massive and ongoing issue), there are far fewer cars traveling around. People aren’t running as many errands, driving to movies, going to restaurants or the beach. This reduction in the amount of traffic on the roadway has led to a dramatic reduction in the number of accidents involving automobiles that are taking place along Florida’s roadways.

Broward County Crash Results in Several Fatalities

Authorities within the city of Tamarac are investigating a two-car collision that happened on the morning of Thursday, May 28th and resulted in several fatalities. Currently, what we know is that it was sometime around 4:30 in the morning when a pickup truck and a silver sedan were traveling along either Rock Island Road or West Commercial Boulevard. The crash took place at the intersection of these two streets and resulted in two of the people involved being pronounced dead at the scene. The precise number of individuals involved in the crash is not currently clear.

Crash in Marion County Results in Car Fire, Fatality, and Hospitalization

Serious Injury for Driver of SUV Following Sumter County Crash

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol in Sumter County indicated that an individual was reported as being in serious condition following a collision between an SUV and a tractor-trailer, both of which were traveling down Interstate 75 at the time. The accident happened on Monday, May 11th, close to 9:00 in the morning, as both of the vehicles in question were nearing mile marker 331.

Miami-Dade Driver Crashes Through Fence and Private Pool After Medical Emergency

Security cameras placed around a private residence within Miami-Dade County captured the terrifying moment when an SUV careened through a privacy fence and over a private pool in a violent crash believed to have been caused by a medical emergency. After reports of the accident began to reach emergency dispatchers, members of the Miami-Dade Police Department as well as members of the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue service rushed to the scene and began to offer their emergency services.
