Last week, members of the Orange County Fire Rescue team responded to reports of a car crash that took place within the 4800 block of West Colonial Drive within the city of Orlando. Reports are still coming in, and an investigation is still underway into an auto accident that took place close to the border between Georgia and Florida and resulted in at least two drivers being hospitalized with minor injuries. According to the reports from the Florida Highway Patrol as well as the Decatur County Fire and Rescue, it was sometime close to 5:10 in the morning when drivers traveling along Hutchinson Ferry Road reached a bridge. This bridge is a well-known feature of the Hutchinson Ferry Road and must be crossed over if people are attempting to use this road in order to exit Quincy from the northwest.
Trio of Teenagers Behind Multiple Collisions in Holly Hill
A series of crashes that took place in and around Holly Hill is believed to be the result of several teenagers attempting to flee from a traffic stop. Reports from the Holly Hill Police Department stated that the incident began after an officer clocked a car traveling with excessive speed down the eastern lanes of the 500 block of 8th Street.
One Dead After Single Car Crash in Sumter County
It was just before 3:00 in the morning when a person driving a car down U.S. 301 was involved in a fatal auto accident after their car left the roadway and collided with a tree. Early reports from the Florida Highway Patrol indicated that the accident only involved a single vehicle, and that there was only one person inside of the car at the time of the accident. This person was the only fatality.
85-Year-Old Crashes Car Through Orange County Restaurant
On Tuesday, January 15th, diners who were enjoying a late lunch at a Chinese restaurant located within Orange County received a shock when a driver traveling down N. Hiawassee Road lost control of their vehicle, left the asphalt, and collided with the restaurant.
Two People Killed in Fatal Florida Turnpike Auto Accident
A two-car crash that took place along an Orange County stretch of the Florida Turnpike on Friday, December 21st, left one person dead and two people, including one young child, injured. The current reports from the Florida Highway Patrol indicate that the incident took place within the southern lanes of the Florida Turnpike, close to the 258th mile marker. This location is also quite near to Walt Disney World. Finally, it is believed that the accident happened at close to 12:35 in the afternoon.
One Injured after Car Overturns, Catches Fire Near Orlando
Early on Wednesday, December 5th, two vehicles traveling down John Young Parkway close to Orlando were involved in an auto accident that resulted in at least one of them suffering from fairly severe injuries. According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident was first reported at some point before noon, likely before the sun had even risen (although some current reports on the event failed to specify the exact time when the emergency calls began to reach dispatchers).
Driver Dies After Losing Control of Car on Orange Blossom Trail
A collision involving multiple cars in Orange County resulted in the death of one individual on Saturday, October 20th. Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol working within Orange County indicated that the incident happened along Orange Blossom Trail, close to where this road intersects with 35th Street and that it took place around 3:00 in the morning.
Three Dead in Four-Car Crash in Osceola County
A massive crash in Osceola County on Saturday, October 13th, resulted in the death of three individuals, all of whom were standing outside of their vehicles at the time. Orlando Man Dies after Crash into Orange County Pond
On Wednesday, September 26th, a 69-year-old man from Orlando was behind the wheel of a 2001 Toyota SUV and driving down one of the southern lanes of Landstar Boulevard in Orange County. As they neared the intersection of Landstar Boulevard and Misley Drive, something happened within the SUV to cause the man to lose control of the vehicle. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, it was shortly after 6:00 in the morning when the auto accident was reported, and that its location was just south of State Road 417.
