According to the subsequent reports, the incident happened at around 9:30 at night, and involved two individuals who were traveling throughout a private property on a side-by-side ATV, which is a small off-road (all-terrain vehicle) machine that is often able to carry up to six people. These vehicles are often used on farms or on large properties where people routinely need to get from one end to another quickly.
