Apopka Private Flight School Plane Flips During Landing
Students aboard a private plane used by an aviation school within the city of Apopka received the fright of their lives when the plane in which they were traveling landed on the runway in such a manner as to cause it, after numerous bumps, to roll over. The report from the Apopka Police Department stated that the aviation accident took place on the morning of Thursday, October 24th, just before 10:00. It was not immediately clear whether or not the pilot in charge of the plane at the time of the crash was an instructor or if one of the students was attempting to land the aircraft.
One Dead, Two Injured in Osceola County Crash
A two-car collision resulted in the death of an 87-year-old man from Kissimmee on the night of Sunday, October 20th. Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol stated that the incident took place sometime close to 10:00 at night, when a Hyundai Elantra collided with the right side of a Toyota Camry.
Elderly Woman Dies in Summerfield Rear-End School Bus Crash
A collision between a school bus and a GMC Yukon within the city of Summerfield towards the end of October resulted in the death of one individual as well as the minor injury of at least two others. Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol within Marion County indicated that the bus, which belonged to the Marion County Public School District, was traveling along the western lane of County Road 42 when it stopped at a pre-designated place in order to collect a student. The GMC Yukon was traveling behind the bus at this time.
Death and Serious Injury After Wrong-Way Crash Near Tampa
A wrong-way crash that happened within Hillsborough County, close to Tampa, early on the morning of Saturday, October 12th, led to the death of a single individual. Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol within the area indicated that the incident took place close to 5:00 in the morning, when a 39-year-old was driving their vehicle down the northern lanes of I-275. Unfortunately, the individual was driving southbound down these lanes, meaning that she was headed directly towards oncoming traffic.

Police working within Ocala are investigating a horrific car accident that took place early in October that involved a single car, four children, and a mother who believed she had been cursed by her husband. According to reports from the Ocala Police Department, the incident began sometime around 2:00 in the afternoon on Wednesday, October 2nd.
One Dead, One Injured in Orange County Street Racing Crash
Police within Orange County are investigating a fatal car accident which took place on Thursday, October 3rd, along Colonial Drive and Chickasaw Trail. The initial reports from the Florida Highway Patrol posted that the accident happened as a result of a street race.
Driver Behind Fatal April Hit-and-Run Located and Arrested
The person believed to be responsible for a fatal hit-and-run within Apopka that took place early this past April was finally arrested on Thursday, October 3rd. The initial incident, which happened on the 1st of April, reportedly took place around 11:40 at night. At this time, two individuals were inside of a van, driving towards the intersection of West Michael Gladden Boulevard and South Hawthorne Avenue. The driver of the van stated that he was on his way to get cough medicine for the 64-year-old passenger.
Pedestrian Injured in Apopka Hit-and-Run
During the middle of October, police working within Apopka responded to reports of a pedestrian accident which took place at the intersection of North Park Avenue and East Sandpiper Street. The reports regarding this incident first began to arrive sometime around 7:45 in the evening. It is not clear who first contacted the police or if many witnesses were on hand to assist the first responders in their initial investigation.
Seminole County Hit-and-Run Suspect Found Receiving Massage After Crash
Seminole County deputies responded to a hit-and-run crash that took place within Seminole County early in October. The incident in question was a collision between two cars, following which one of the cars sped away from the scene. Reports from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office indicated that the incident took place along Alafaya Trail, when a 53-year-old driving a white Toyota Corolla attempted to make a U-turn.
Three Displaced, One Injured After Orange County Apartment Fire
A massive fire at an apartment complex located within Orange County resulted in an hours-long battle against the flames as well as at least one injury. Reports from the Orange County Fire Rescue teams indicated that the incident was first reported around 6:00 on the morning of Wednesday, October 16th. Members of the OCFR immediately rushed from their stations to the building where the fire was reported: the Cranes Landing Apartments located along Goldenrod Road.
