Seminole County Hit-and-Run Suspect Found Receiving Massage After Crash
Seminole County deputies responded to a hit-and-run crash that took place within Seminole County early in October. The incident in question was a collision between two cars, following which one of the cars sped away from the scene. Reports from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office indicated that the incident took place along Alafaya Trail, when a 53-year-old driving a white Toyota Corolla attempted to make a U-turn.
During the process of making this turn, the driver of the Toyota misjudged their location in relation to the other cars on the road and wound up colliding with a pickup truck that was traveling in the far right lane. Then, instead of stopping, the driver of the Toyota sped away from the crash site.
Two people were inside the pickup truck at the time, and after the collision they followed the Toyota. The story becomes a little odd at this point. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office stated that that two victims of the crash tailed the Toyota until it turned into a business plaza somewhere nearby. After turning into the plaza, the driver parked the Toyota, exited the vehicle, and entered a local chiropractor’s office.
The two people inside of the pickup truck were on the phone with emergency dispatchers at this time, and soon deputies with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene. Directed towards the chiropractic clinic, the deputies entered the building. There, they found the 53-year-old driver of the Toyota in the middle of a massage. The staff at the clinic stated that the woman did not mention anything about a crash to them when she first arrived for her appointment. There was no indication at all that the 53-year-old did anything at all in order to report the incident.
Instead, when confronted by the deputies the woman told them that she had not been in a crash but that she had heard a crash taking place behind her after making the U-turn. Outside of the clinic, the woman was brought to her car, which displayed clear indications of having been involved in an accident. The woman told the officers that this was the result of an accident which she had been involved in a month prior. Officers subsequently arrested the woman and took her to a nearby correctional facility.
The two people inside the pickup truck suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. Charges are currently pending against the 53-year-old.
