One Pedestrian Injured, One Killed after Marion County Hit-and-Run
A hit-and-run accident that occurred around 7:30 on the night of Saturday, December 23rd, has left troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol working within Marion County rushing to locate and apprehend the individual responsible. According to the early reports from the scene of the crash, it was at the intersection of Northeast 25th Avenue and Northeast 38th Street that the incident took place. Members of the Orange County Fire Rescue service responded to an incident at an industrial work site on Thursday, December 6th, that resulted in the death of one individual. Reports from the Orange County Fire Rescue service indicate that the wrongful death accident happened at some point during the morning, at the Majestic Marble and Granite, located in Orlando at 4948 South Orange Avenue.

Chewy Employee Suffers Traumatic Injury in Distribution Center Fork Lift Accident
An employee of the Chewy company has been severely injured in an incident that took place at a distribution center located in the city of Ocala. According to the Ocala Fire Rescue crews who responded to the event, the first reports of a premises liability accident emerged shortly after 12:30 the afternoon, and brought numerous first responder units to the 3300 block of Northwest 35th Avenue. Among the assembled emergency crews were representatives from the Ocala Police Department, the Marion County Fire Rescue, and the above-mentioned Ocala Fire Rescue. The location at which the emergency crews converged was a distribution center for the popular online pet retailer, Chewy.
Enormous $4.69 Billion Settlement Decided Against Johnson & Johnson in Missouri
Despite the numerous lawsuits filed against Johnson & Johnson in relation to the ovarian and cervical cancer believed to stem from its talc powder, the company remains as insistent as ever that its products do not contain any of the asbestos that the plaintiffs believe caused their conditions. This past July, a jury in St. Louis, Missouri, decided firmly against the massive company, awarding 22 people a package of $4.69 billion in both compensatory and punitive damages.
Over $4 Billion Awarded in Talc Powder Lawsuit Against Johnson & Johnson
For the past several years, Johnson & Johnson has been locked in numerous legal battles with consumers who claim that the talcum powder sold by the company has led to numerous cases of ovarian or cervical cancer. While many trials have been decided in favor of the plaintiffs, and while numerous awards – many of them reaching into the millions – have gone to those who became the unwitting victims of Johnson & Johnson’s many – decades long attempt to hide information from consumers, it remains true that the company insists that its products are not the cause of the terminal illnesses.
