Seven-Person Family Displaced after House Fire in Orange County

Police and other authorities in Orange County are looking into reports that an exploding van is behind a recent fire that took place in Pine Hills on Friday, March 8th, and that resulted in the destruction of a family’s home. Reports from the Orange County Fire Rescue indicated that the incident was reported along the 5000 block of Bonnie Brae Circle sometime on Friday, and that emergency response crews rushed to the scene as soon as the calls began to reach the call center regarding the incident. When they arrived, the firefighters discovered a home as well as two vehicles that were both engulfed in flames. It is believed that seven people total lived in the home at the time of the fire but that at least one of them, a 9-year-old boy, was at school when the incident took place.

Orlando Motorcyclist Killed in Crash

Members of the Florida Highway Patrol have issued a statement regarding the death of a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist in question, a 17-year-old from Orlando, was killed on Thursday, March 7th, while she was traveling down the western lanes of Fairbanks Avenue.

Motorcyclist Dies in Tampa Crash

On the morning of Wednesday, March 6th, a biker was killed in a Tampa motorcycle accident that happened along Channelside Drive after they were violently thrown from their vehicle. According to reports from the Tampa Police Department, the motorcyclist, a 23-year-old, was aboard their motorcycle at around 9:15 in the morning when they neared the intersection of Channelside Drive and South Florida Avenue within the city of Tampa.

Multiple Injuries after Miami-Based Cruise Ship Tilts at Sea

Investigators are working to uncover just what happened aboard a cruise ship that left New York City this past Sunday, travelling to its first official stop in Port Canaveral, when it suddenly began to list violently. According to the most current reports, the ship involved in the incident, the Norwegian Escape, was a member of the Norwegian Cruise Line which is cruise company based out of Miami. It was not even a full day into its projected seven-night journey to the Bahamas when the incident occurred that caused the ship to tip aggressively towards its port side.

Two Pedestrians Killed by Intoxicated Driver in Palm Bay

Manslaughter charges were issued against an individual from Palm Bay who is being accused of striking and killing two pedestrians on Saturday, March 2nd, while traveling along Palm Bay Road. According to reports from the Palm Bay Police as well as from the West Melbourne Police Department and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 12:30 in the morning, when a white 2006 Chevrolet Express van was traveling down Palm Bay Road Northeast.

One Dead After Single Car Crash in Sumter County

It was just before 3:00 in the morning when a person driving a car down U.S. 301 was involved in a fatal auto accident after their car left the roadway and collided with a tree. Early reports from the Florida Highway Patrol indicated that the accident only involved a single vehicle, and that there was only one person inside of the car at the time of the accident. This person was the only fatality.

Motorcyclist Dies in Hillsborough County Crash Near Tampa

Early on the morning of February 21st, a man from the city of Largo was riding a motorcycle along I-275 in Hillsborough County, close to Tampa, when something happened to cause him to lose control of the vehicle. It was close to 3:00 in the morning when the motorcyclist, a 51-year-old, was on their 2007 Suzuki and traveling down the southern lanes of I-275. Along the stretch of I-275 down which the motorcyclist was traveling, there exists a bridge that takes I-275 over Lois Avenue. The 51-year-old motorcyclist had just reached this bridge when, for reasons that are not currently clear, something caused them to crash their motorcycle.

FHP Arrest and Charge Individual Responsible for Hit-and-Run Near Tampa

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol have issued a statement regarding the charges filed against an individual believed to be responsible for a fatal hit-and-run crash that took place close to Tampa early on the morning of February 22nd. According to these reports, the individual behind the fatal accident was apprehended shortly after the initial collision took place, and that in addition to the hit-and-run charges, the authorities also charged the individual with a DUI and Driving While License Cancelled or Suspended.
