Two Pedestrians Killed, Two Injured After Two Separate Collisions on OBT
A series of events that happened within Orange County on Thursday, July 4th, resulted in the death of two pedestrians and the injury of two others. It also resulted in the arrest of one individual on charges of DUI manslaughter and driving with a suspended license as well as a currently ongoing search for another person who is wanted on charges of hit-and-run and manslaughter.
Bithlo Home Destroyed in Explosion and Fire
Two individuals living in the town of Bithlo are recovering from a sudden and aggressive fire that consumed the home in which they were living. Thankfully, both of the people as well as a dog that was living in the home were able to escape safely, but the home itself was declared to be a total loss. It is not known if the individuals were able to pull out any of their personal belongings before the fire consumed them.

Recently, we reported on a hit-and-run collision that took place within Orange County and was partially responsible for the death of two pedestrians and the injury of two others. In the initial report, we described how a collision between a Dodge Durango and a pedestrian early on the morning of July 4th had resulted in three additional pedestrians rushing to assist the fatally injured person.
Dirt Bike Rider Killed in Orange County Crash with Ford
Officers with the Florida Highway Patrol within Orange County were among the first responders to a fatal accident that occurred between a 2007 Ford four-door and a Kawasaki dirt bike. At the time of this writing, it is not believed that any charges are pending against any of the individuals involved in the accident.
Motorcyclist Killed in Head-On Collision with Disoriented Driver Near Tampa
Police working within a stretch of Pasco County that lies near to Tampa are crediting a fatal motorcycle accident that took place in the middle of June to a driver that became confused while attempting to merge onto Interstate 75. The Florida Highway Patrol has issued statements around the crash, and this is the source of most of the current information around the incident.
Teenager Becomes Victim of Hit-and-Run Hours After Receiving Driver’s License
Police working within the city of Apopka are trying to find the driver responsible for a hit-and-run that narrowly missed causing tremendous injuries to a 16-year-old individual who had just passed her driving test. According to the reports, the incident took place sometime around 4:00 in the afternoon of Monday, July 1st, while the 16-year-old was on her way to show her new license to some friends. Her father told reporters that it was only 7 or so minutes after she left the house that he received a call from the girl saying that she’d gotten into a car accident.
Woman and Four Children Struck by Van in Orange County Hit-and-Run
A collision between a silver passenger van and five pedestrians is currently under investigation in Orange County as troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol attempt to discover just what happened, as well as the whereabouts of the driver of the vehicle in question. What we know so far is that it was sometime around 9:00 at night when a woman and her four children were walking along Pine Hills Road. When they reached an area with a designated crosswalk, the woman and her children left the sidewalk and began to cross the road.
Tampa Crash Between Tanker Truck and Rental Scooter Results in Fatality
Officers with the Tampa Police Department recently responded to reports of an auto accident that took place between a person riding a rented electric scooter and a truck that was traveling down the northern lanes of 20th Street. According to the official reports, it was 4:45 in the afternoon when the incident occurred. The scooter in question, a rental provided by the popular Lime app, was being driven by a 33-year-old individual. It is not clear where they were headed.
Medical Emergency Results in Car Crashing Through Orlando Church
A group of the congregation from a church in Orlando received a tremendous surprise on Thursday, June 13th, when a car crashed through the front of the building and drove through the church’s lobby only thirty minutes before a large meeting was supposed to take place within the structure. According to reports from emergency response crews working within the city of Orlando, the auto accident took place sometime close to 7:30 at night. At 8:00, a service was scheduled to happen at the church, meaning that if the accident had happened just a short time later, the results could have been tragic in the extreme.
Pedestrian in Marion County in Critical Condition After Collision
A collision between a car and a pedestrian in Marion County that took place sometime on Saturday, June 29th, has left at least one person inside of a hospital, fighting for their life as the medical teams attempt to stabilize injuries that were deemed critical in the moments following the pedestrian accident. Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol working within Marion County indicated that the accident took place along Southwest 140th Avenue. The crash did not happen near an intersection, and the pedestrian involved was not attempting to cross the road.
