A thirty-three year old vehicle technician employed at Disney World was fatally injured earlier this week in a tragic industrial accident near one of the theme park’s resort hotels.
Deadly Fire in Orlando Prompts Investigation into Causes
Officers with the Orlando Fire Department first received reports of a fire along the 5000 block of Lescot Lane in Orlando shortly before 6:00 in the morning of Sunday, July 8th. According to an official report from Ashley Papagni, a spokesperson for the Orlando Fire Department, the emergency 9-1-1 call resulted in numerous units throughout Orlando being sent to the address in question. The call also indicated that there were people inside of the building.

13-Year-Old Badly Injured After Firework Explodes in Hand
Paramedics and EMTs working within the city of Edgewater this past Intracoastal 4th of July were on hand to respond to an emergency call made after a firework exploded while still in the hand of a 13-year-old child. According to the report from Volusia County Deputies, the incident happened around 8:40 in the evening, while the child was with their family in a boat that was being piloted around an island that forms a part of the Three Sisters cluster. The boat was believed to be traveling through the Intracoastal Waterway when the incident took place.
Collision Between Two Cars in Orange County Leaves One Dead, Two Injured
A crash that took place within Orange County on Saturday, June 30th, has resulted in the untimely death of one person and the serious injury of at least two others. Initial reports on the crash came from the Florida Highway Patrol. Their report stated that the accident happened shortly after 1:00 in the afternoon, around where Pine Hills Road and Indian Hills Road intersect.
Child Nearly Drowns in Orlando World Center Marriott Pool
Orange County Sheriff’s Office officials are currently in the process of investigating an incident that happened at the Orlando World Center Marriott this past Sunday and resulted in the near death of a young child. Official news on the swimming pool accident is hard to come by, and all we know comes from a small report issued from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, although it is not clear if this report came from an official press conference, press release, or simply through the Orange County Sheriff’s Office’s Twitter account.
Suspect in Orlando Hit-and-Run Accident Found
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says it has located a suspect relating to a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened in Orange County last Friday. According to the police report, the accident happened at around 5:30 am when the suspect’s 2007 Honda CRV struck a bicyclist near Orlando’s Colonial Drive and Berekely Street.
Orange County Sergeant Rear-Ends Civilian Car
Members of the Florida Highway Patrol are currently investigating a crash that involved a sergeant working with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. It appears that the incident, which happened on Sunday, July 1st, took place as the sergeant was driving an SUV down State Road 408.
Florida Gas Leak after Line Struck During I-4 Ultimate Project
It is not clear whether or not any injuries were sustained this past Monday when an unnamed construction worker operating a large piece of equipment on the I-4 Ultimate Project in Altamonte Springs struck a gas pipe lying underneath the ground affected during the expansion of the major traffic artery. Reports indicate that the incident happened before the rush-hour commute began, and the subsequent lane closures caused massive disruptions along the I-4 route.
