Car Strikes and Kills Pedestrian in Orange County
Friday morning, on Lake Underhill Road, a pedestrian is walking along the side of the street when they decide to cross the roadway. This is not an unusual occurrence along the Orange County Roads, and it often is the case that pedestrians are making their way near to or alongside busy roads and then decide to cross them. In most places, sidewalks and designated crossing areas exist in order to make the situation safer for those looking to navigate their way from one side of the road to the other; however, in some places these safety measures do not exist.
Massive Pileup on State Road 429 in Orange County
At least one person was hospitalized after an incident that happened in the Orange County city of Ocoee on Friday morning, July 27th. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the events that led to this began at close to 6:30 in the morning and ultimately involved numerous vehicles and resulted in a massive lane closure.
Dangerous Orange County Road to Receive Overhaul
A stretch of road that runs through Orlando is slated to receive a hefty overhaul due to safety concerns. According to a joint study by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Metroplan Orlando, and municipalities of Orange County, Orlando, and Winter Park the stretch of road examined is far too dangerous and its conditions have led directly to numerous accidents.
Crash at Orlando Intersection Leaves Motorcyclist Dead
A two-vehicle crash in Orange County this past Monday morning has resulted in the death of at least one person and launched an investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. According to the initial reports surrounding the incident, it was sometime around 6:00 in the morning when a 30-year-old Orlando resident was riding a motorcycle down the eastern lanes of Colonial Drive when he reached the intersection between this road and State Road 417.
Arrest Made in Fatal Orlando Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident
On June 27th, 2018, almost a month ago to the day, a local Orlando man was involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision during his early morning bicycle commute to work when an SUV driving eastbound on Colonial Drive slammed into him from behind.
Motorcyclist Dies in Central Florida Accident
A motorcyclist was killed Monday after colliding with a truck on Colonial Drive. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the early morning crash happened near the intersection of Colonial Drive and State Road 417. A pickup truck, being driven by a 45-year-old male, was traveling north on the SR-417 exit ramp. As he approached the intersection with Colonial Drive, he attempted to make a left turn. At the same time, a motorcyclist entered the intersection in front of the pickup, at which point it was hit from the side.
Multiple Teens Involved in Florida Car Crash
A 15-year-old female from Lakeland, Florida was killed following a two-vehicle crash in Lacoochee. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the accident happened on Tuesday at around 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of US Highway 301 and Trilby Road.

DUI Issued to Orlando Driver Who Collided with Utility Pole

Orlando Police Officer Arrested on DUI in Edgewood
Police working within the city of Edgewood were first notified about the dangerous driver at close to 11:30 in the evening of Friday, July 13th. Reports began coming into the station telling the Edgewood Police Department that a person driving a pickup truck was seen driving into a row of bushes as well as traveling in the opposite direction of traffic down a busy road. When officers arrived and located the truck in question, they found that the person driving it was doing so in an erratic and dangerous way, so a traffic stop was initiated.
