According to preliminary collision reports from troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol, a 27-year-old woman was killed and 4 others were severely injured during an auto accident last Saturday along SW 180th Avenue in Dunnellon.
One person was killed and nine others suffered various injuries this past Tuesday during an auto accident involving five vehicles along U.S. Highway 441 in Summerfield, according to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Detectives with the Florida Highway Patrol are currently working to unravel the timeline of events that preceded a fatal auto accident which claimed the life of a 37-year-old Summerfield man and seriously injured 4 others in Marion County over the weekend. Early collision reports indicate that the deadly car crash occurred along U.S. 441 near County Road 42 at approximately 10:15 a.m. this past Saturday morning.

It is not known the precise time of day the incident took place, although it is believed that it was sometime during the evening.
Towards the beginning of April, a head-on collision took place within Marion County that resulted in a single fatality as well as an ongoing investigation on the part of the Florida Highway Patrol. The reports from this law enforcement agency stated that the incident happened sometime during Saturday, April 4th. At this time, a 59-year-old woman was behind the wheel of a vehicle and traveling down the western lanes of Country Road 318.
Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol began to emerge in the middle of December regarding an auto accident that resulted in the death of a 68-year-old individual. According to these reports, it was just before midnight on Saturday, December 14th, and the man, a Dunnellon resident, was behind the wheel of a Chevy Silverado and traveling down the northern lane of Southwest 129th Terrace Road.
Numerous firefighters and first responders rushed to a rest stop in Marion County after a trailer hauling a large load of rubber tires caught fire. At the time of this writing, the reasons behind the blaze are not entirely clear. It is hoped that a full investigation from the Florida Highway Patrol will offer more by way of answers regarding this strange incident.
