Fatal Orange County Car vs. Pedestrian Collision
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol have issued a statement regarding the death of a woman who was struck and killed while crossing the road in Orange County on Sunday, March 4th. In their account, they were called to Colonial Drive’s westbound lanes during the night after someone, either one of the people involved or an individual who witnessed the crash, called 9-1-1 to report a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
Orange County Students Injured after Water Hose Malfunctions in Bus
It was while students from Lake Nona High School were traveling on the bus towards their various homes that something happened within the cab to cause a water hose to begin violently spraying water all throughout the vehicle’s interior. At the time of this writing, the reasons behind the malfunction are not clear, and all we know for certain is that the bus was carrying 37 students and drawing near to the intersection of Narcoossee Road and Kirby Smith Road when the unknown circumstance took place that caused the hose to begin gushing water.
Passenger Killed When Truck Veers Off Interstate 95
An 81-year-old female and her small dog were killed in an automobile accident near Orlando, Florida on Monday. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened in Volusia County on Interstate 95. A 2008 Chevy pickup truck, driven by a 77-year-old male, was traveling north near Oak Hill when it suddenly veered off the road and struck a nearby tree.
Life Raft Falls from Helicopter, Crashes into Miami-Dade County Home
A homeowner in Miami received the shock of her life this past Wednesday when a helicopter used by the Royal Canadian Air Force during search and rescue operations somehow managed to accidentally release a large rescue raft while flying over her home. The Miami-Dade County Police has issued a statement regarding the bewildering incident that recounts how the helicopter was flying directly over a residential area when an 80-pound raft somehow became uncoupled from its harnesses. The report stated that the helicopter was returning to the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport after having spent the day engaged in various training exercises in the ocean off of Florida’s coast.

Polk County Sheriff are investigating a car crash that happened late Wednesday night in Lake Hamilton, Florida. Police say the accident, which happened on US Highway 27 at the intersection with Kokomo Road, left two dead.
Satellite Beach House Fire Displaces Couple
Very early in the morning on the first day of March, a couple living in the Brevard County city of Satellite Beach were just preparing to climb into bed when the smoke alarm in their house began to go off. A spokesperson for the Satellite Beach Fire Department, Deputy Fire Chief Dave Abernathy, told reporters that after the two people heard the alarm, the smoke and flames immediately began to surround them. Grabbing what they could, the couple rushed out of the home and stood outside as the fire engines screamed into the area.
Car versus Bike Accident in Orlando
An eight-year-old Orlando child was killed this week while riding his bike near South Conway Road and East Michigan Street. According to Orlando police, he was fatally struck by a truck and died at the scene of the crash. No other details have been provided as the accident remains under investigation.
8-Year-Old Dies after Being Struck by Car in Orlando
Close to 1:30 in the afternoon of this past Wednesday, a young child riding a bicycle along the road in Orlando was struck and killed by a motorist. The early reports issued in connection with this incident were incredibly scant, most likely out of respect for the family’s privacy as they began to mourn the tragic loss of their child, but the Orlando Police Department did update their initial statement with more details as the case progressed and the family consented to having the facts disseminated.
Fatal Wrong Way Crash in Orlando
A 73-year-old male was killed when his car struck an oncoming vehicle last Sunday. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the two-vehicle crash happened on State Road 19 at Lake Smith Road in the early evening. For a yet-unknown reason, the 73-year-old was driving his Chevy pickup truck in the wrong direction when he struck the oncoming Chrysler van head on. Both individuals were transported to nearby hospitals. The 77-year-old was pronounced dead at Florida Hospital Waterman, while the 55-year-old was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
Speeding Driver Unable to Stop, Hits Vehicle in Orlando
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating an Orlando area automobile crash that happened late Friday night. The two-vehicle accident left one person, a 56-year-old Orlando woman, dead. According to the FHP, a 31-year-old male was driving south on Rio Grande Avenue when he hit the car driven by the 56-year-old female as she was trying to make a left turn. Police believe that the 31-year-old male was speeding and therefore unable to stop. The female driver was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she died. The male driver suffered minor injuries.
