Miami-Dade Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision
Oftentimes when people hear the term “hit and run”, they think of coming out of the grocery store to find that their car has been dinged by an unknown driver. Rarely do we think of fatal accidents where the responsible driver flees the scene and leaves a severely injured person behind. Sadly, it is not uncommon for a driver to leave the scene of an accident with serious injuries or death out of fear of jail time or fines. What these people often don’t consider is that the penalties are much less severe when they stay at the scene.
