Arrest Made in Fatal Orlando Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident
On June 27th, 2018, almost a month ago to the day, a local Orlando man was involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision during his early morning bicycle commute to work when an SUV driving eastbound on Colonial Drive slammed into him from behind.
Suspect in Orlando Hit-and-Run Accident Found
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says it has located a suspect relating to a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened in Orange County last Friday. According to the police report, the accident happened at around 5:30 am when the suspect’s 2007 Honda CRV struck a bicyclist near Orlando’s Colonial Drive and Berekely Street.
Orlando Area Bicyclist Killed in Car Accident
A Palm Bay 52-year-old female was killed while riding her bicycle early Wednesday morning. According to the Palm Bay Police Department, the accident happened around 6:20 am. As the cyclist was crossing Palm Bay Road at the intersection with Culver Drive, she was hit by a pickup truck traveling east. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not hurt and remained on the scene until police arrived. The investigation is ongoing.
Car versus Bike Accident in Orlando
An eight-year-old Orlando child was killed this week while riding his bike near South Conway Road and East Michigan Street. According to Orlando police, he was fatally struck by a truck and died at the scene of the crash. No other details have been provided as the accident remains under investigation.
8-Year-Old Dies after Being Struck by Car in Orlando
Close to 1:30 in the afternoon of this past Wednesday, a young child riding a bicycle along the road in Orlando was struck and killed by a motorist. Bike Versus Car Leaves Orlando Man Dead
A man riding a bicycle was killed last week after he collided with a car. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the accident happened in the Orlando area at the intersection of Taft Vineland Road and Orange Blossom Trail. The bicyclist was taken to the nearby Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Nobody else was reported injured.
Seminole County Cyclist Killed while Crossing Road
In Seminole County this past Friday night, an unidentified woman was riding her bicycle eastbound on Lake Drive close to where it intersects with Huntridge Way. According to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman, believed to be around 49-years-old, was on her bike around 11:15 when she decided to try and cross the road.

Man from Indiantown Killed in Crash While on Bicycle
The Florida Highway Patrol has released the currently available details about the death of a 55-year-old man from Indiantown who died on Sunday night after being hit by a car. According to the report, the man, Phain Cecil Davis, was on his bicycle and riding down Southwest Farm Road. This road, a two lane road used for local traffic, is usually not very busy, although it is not clear whether or not there is an adequate amount of light covering the street at all times.
Former Mayor of Kissimmee, Florida Killed While Riding Bike
Frank Attkisson, a former mayor of Kissimmee, Florida, was killed after being hit by a car while riding his bike on Thursday night. The 61 year old was riding his bike on Kissimmee Park Road near Tohopekaliga around 7:00 PM in the evening when he was hit from behind by a Hyundai Elantra. Attkisson was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Police are currently investigating the accident.
