According to the news reports, the team working on discovering the origin of the bacteria received a boost to their investigation when they began to notice that all the cases they were investigating possessed one thing in common: each sick person had recently come into contact with puppies at pet store chains.

A massive fire in an Orlando apartment complex has resulted in sixteen different families begin forced to move from their homes. According to the Assistant Fire Chief for the Orlando Fire Department, the incident happened inside of the West Winds Apartments located in the southwestern portion of Orlando, inside of Orange County.
Ammunition Fire Consumes Residence in Seminole County
Either on or shortly before Saturday, September 15th, members of the Seminole County Fire Department rushed to respond to reports of a house fire in a somewhat remote area of Mims, within Seminole County. The official statement from Lt. Andy Gay, a member of the Seminole County Fire Department, suggests that they received reports of the flames in a home located within the 10000 block of Epiphyte Road sometime after the blaze itself started. Lt. Gay also indicated that the home was situated in such a place that made accessing it with emergency vehicles somewhat tricky.

On Wednesday, August 15th, two employees with a Massachusetts-based company called Harvest Power were working close to Disney World in the Orange County city of Bay Lake. The two individuals had reached 2010 South Service Lane and had driven a large tractor-trailer to a specific location where the contents of the truck could be emptied into an enormous vat.
64 People Displaced after Fire Destroys Orlando Apartment Complex
Shortly after 8:00 on the morning of Wednesday, August 8th, dispatchers at the emergency call center for Orlando began receiving numerous calls that indicated an apartment building was on fire. Several units from the Orlando Fire Department as well as the Orange County Fire and Rescue and police teams from throughout the county responded to the the call and were able to quickly reach the Royal Isle Apartments, located along Don Quixote Road, close to State Road 436.

Staff at the Orlando Regional Medical Center were heavily involved in an incident that took place on Sunday, May 20th, that resulted in an individual arriving at the medical facility in critical condition. While many of the details around the scenario are unknown and currently under investigation, it does seem clear that one person was badly injured in Orange County after a confusing event.
Fire at Winter Park Home Kills Man and Six Dogs
Residents of Winter Park were shocked and saddened by the sudden death of a 50-year-old man as well as six dogs after a fire consumed their house during the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 27th. The report from the Orange County Fire and Rescue indicated that the fire began at a home located at 2269 Kentucky Avenue at was first reported at 1:00 in the morning when neighbors were woken by the woman who lived in the home pounding on their door and requesting help.
Fire at Kissimmee Apartment Destroys Building
A massive fire ripped through an apartment building in Osceola County last Wednesday, causing thousands of dollars worth of pottery damage and rendering over one dozen people temporarily homeless. The official report states that the fire, which was first reported around 11:30 in the morning, happened in an apartment building located at 1459 Dorado Drive in Kissimmee. The apartment building housed eight units, all of which were gutted by the flames.
Satellite Beach House Fire Displaces Couple
Very early in the morning on the first day of March, a couple living in the Brevard County city of Satellite Beach were just preparing to climb into bed when the smoke alarm in their house began to go off. A spokesperson for the Satellite Beach Fire Department, Deputy Fire Chief Dave Abernathy, told reporters that after the two people heard the alarm, the smoke and flames immediately began to surround them. Grabbing what they could, the couple rushed out of the home and stood outside as the fire engines screamed into the area.
