An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the death of an employee who fell while working on maintaining the popular StarFlyer attraction within the tourist district of the City of Orlando. Reports from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office suggested that the incident took place on the morning of Monday, September 14th, while the individual, a 21-year-old, was performing routine maintenance on the machine.
Wet Roadway Causes Fatal Single-Car Crash Near Tampa
A wet roadway is currently being held responsible for a fatal car accident that took place close to Tampa early in September. Motorcyclist Dies After Collision with Two Pickup Trucks in Volusia County
An afternoon crash between a pickup truck and a motorcycle resulted in the death of one person during the middle of September. An investigation into the crash remains ongoing, and initial reports on the events were issued by members of the Florida Highway Patrol working within Volusia County. According to their reports, it was shortly before 3:00 in the afternoon that a 23-year-old was riding a motorcycle down the southern lanes of U.S. 17. At this same time, a person who was not named or described was behind the wheel of a pickup truck. They were also traveling down the southbound lanes of U.S. 17.
Orlando Maintenance Worker Killed After Fall From StarFlyer Tourist Attraction
According to preliminary accident reports from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and local news outlets, on Monday, September 14th, 2020, a maintenance worker was fatally injured after he fell over 200 feet while performing a daily safety check on Orlando’s popular StarFlyer tourist attraction.
One Injured After Experimental Plane Crashes on Melbourne Beach
Two people were rescued on the morning of September 11th, 2020, after their experimental airplane crashed onto a relatively remote portion of Melbourne Beach. According to the Brevard County Fire Rescue, who were the first to arrive at the accident site, the plane had landed upside-down on the beach after suffering a mid-flight engine malfunction after take-off.
