A motorcyclist died in a crash earlier this month in Orlando when another driver who was attempting to turn veered into his lane, causing the motorcyclist to crash into the side of the road.
Tampa Woman Killed Crossing Street
On April 7, a woman died in Tampa after a car hit her while she was crossing the street. She and her friend ran across Hillsborough Avenue, but only made it to the outside lane of westbound traffic before she was struck.
Fort Lauderdale Plane Crash Kills Four
On April 12, a Piper PA-31 plane inbound to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport crashed into the woods near the airport. Four people were presumed dead after the plane nosedived and exploded. Investigators are looking into what caused the crash.

Orlando Man T-Boned by Truck On Way to Work
One day in early April, a 34-year-old father of four was driving to the airport, about to take a trip from Orlando to Dallas for work, when he was T-boned by a pickup truck. He was trapped inside the vehicle and eventually extricated and taken to the hospital, where he was treated for critical injuries including a collapsed lung, broken ribs, a fractured pelvis, and internal injuries. This accident left his family shattered, and his future uncertain.
Wrong Way Driver Causes Three Accidents on Florida’s I-4
A westbound driver in the eastbound lanes of I-4 caused two separate accident late Tuesday night, before being involved in a third fatal accident according to officials. The wrong-way driver was identified as Gloria Marcial of Polk City, Florida. Marcial was 58 years old.
Fatal Lamborghini Accident at Disney’s Exotic Driving Experience
On April 12th there was a fatal car accident at the Exotic Driving Experience at Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida. Driving instructor Gary Terry, 36 years old, was killed when the driver of the vehicle, Tavon Watson, lost control and it crashed into a guardrail. Mr. Terry was pronounced dead at the scene, and Mr. Watson was taken to the hospital, but released with only minor injuries.

On April 1st, 2015 a Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a two-vehicle accident, leaving one person dead. It happened close to 6 p.m., on County Road 54, which is also known as Ronald Reagan Parkway.
Highway Guardrails Meant to Protect, Actually Pose Great Danger
In early 2014, Jay Traylor was headed home from helping a friend with some yard work. Exhausted, he briefly drifted off to sleep behind the wheel. He awoke just in time to see his vehicle headed straight for a guardrail on the side of the highway. On impact, the guardrail pierced the front of the SUV he was driving and penetrated the cabin, slicing through his legs.
