West Palm Beach Driver Causes Accident Due To Argument With Girlfriend
A man who was having a heated argument with his girlfriend, who was a passenger in his car at the time, caused a wreck Sunday night in West Palm Beach. According to authorities, William Burgess, of Riviera Beach was driving south on Jog Road and decided to swerve into oncoming traffic. He drove his vehicle up over the grassy median and crashed into two northbound vehicles. Fortunately, the occupants of the other vehicles suffered only minor injuries as a result of the crash.
Two Dead in Orlando Head-on Collision
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, two teenagers died in a head-on collision on State Road 44 on a June night in Orlando. The driver, a 19 year-old from Leesburg, was driving west when he tried to pass the car in front of him in a no-passing zone. When he crossed into the eastbound lane he collided head-on with an oncoming van. The driver of the van was not seriously injured but the teen driver was killed on the scene and his 16-year-old female passenger died at the hospital.
Jacksonville Accident Results in Death of Resident
An afternoon accident at the intersection of Normandy Boulevard and Blair Road in Jacksonville has left one man dead. The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a 59-year-old man from Jacksonville was stopped for a red light in a 2002 Toyota Echo when he was rear-ended by a 2002 Jeep Cherokee. The driver of the Cherokee was traveling east on Normandy and did not slow down as he approached vehicles that were stopped at the intersection. The Cherokee slammed into the Toyota at a high rate of speed and the driver of the Toyota was killed at the scene. The driver of the Cherokee was taken UF Health Jacksonville for his injuries.
Two Women Injured in Deerfield Beach SUV Rollover Crash
A 45-year-old woman is lucky to be alive tonight, after she was ejected from her SUV in a rollover accident in Deerfield Beach this afternoon. Authorities report that the driver of the SUV was traveling east on West Hillsboro Boulevard when she decided to make a turn onto North Dixie Highway and hit a car.
Early Morning Crash Results in Fatality
An early morning two car collision in the westbound lanes of I-595 has resulted in the death of one driver and injuries for the other. Florida Highway Patrol reports that the driver of a westbound white Cadillac sedan lost control of the vehicle, cutting across several lanes of traffic and striking a wall along the north side of the highway. The car bounced off the wall and back into traffic when it was stuck by a second vehicle. The driver of the Cadillac was pronounced dead at the scene while the other driver was transported to Broward Health Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries. The identities of neither driver have been released at this time and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Three People Injured in Deland Afternoon Accident
Three people were seriously injured Friday afternoon when their 1993 Buick sedan crashed into a tree near the intersection of County Road 42 and State Road 44. The 30-year-old male driver of the vehicle and a 29-year-old female were in the front seat at the time of the collision and both were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries. A one-year-old child who was restrained in a child safety seat in the back was also transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. The child’s injuries were only minor.
Volusia County Rollover Accident Results in Fatalities
State Road 40 near Ormond Beach, was the scene of a horrific rollover accident Monday afternoon. Florida Highway Patrol indicated that an eastbound SUV was traveling along West State Road 40 when the right rear tire separated from the vehicle.
Tamarac Man Perishes In Accident on Florida Turnpike
An auto accident that occurred Tuesday during the morning commute hours has claimed the life of a 46-year-old Tamarac man. Florida Highway Patrol has identified the driver as Hubert Anderson, and his passenger as 67-year-old Leslie Anderson, also of Tamarac.
