Fort Lauderdale Driver Identified in Friday’s Crash
The driver of a Cadillac SUV involved in Friday crash into a dry cleaner’s store has been identified. The driver is listed as John Powell Jr., of Fort Lauderdale. Powell is 85 years old. It is unclear at this time if the incident is related to a medical condition Mr. Powell may have had. Powell was ticketed for failure to use due care while operating a vehicle.
Morning Accident on Sawgrass Expressway Claims Two Lives
An accident that occurred around 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning has claimed the lives of at least two victims. The accident happened on Sawgrass Expressway, just north of Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

A fatal accident occurred late Tuesday night, April 14, in Central Florida. The accident happened on the heavily traveled Interstate 4, and was investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.
Van and Road Safety Questioned After Florida Crash
After eight members of a Florida church were killed in a tragic passenger van accident last week, transportation officials are investigating the safety of the van the victims were riding in. The driver of the van missed an unlit T-intersection, driving the van into a canal. Wrong Way Driver Causes Three Accidents on Florida’s I-4
A westbound driver in the eastbound lanes of I-4 caused two separate accident late Tuesday night, before being involved in a third fatal accident according to officials. The wrong-way driver was identified as Gloria Marcial of Polk City, Florida. Marcial was 58 years old.

Highway Guardrails Meant to Protect, Actually Pose Great Danger
In early 2014, Jay Traylor was headed home from helping a friend with some yard work. Exhausted, he briefly drifted off to sleep behind the wheel. He awoke just in time to see his vehicle headed straight for a guardrail on the side of the highway. On impact, the guardrail pierced the front of the SUV he was driving and penetrated the cabin, slicing through his legs. Florida Victims of Wednesday’s Head-On Collision Identified
The two drivers involved in Wednesday morning’s fatal head-on collision on Apopka Vineland Road have been identified. According to the Florida High Patrol the victims are Lidiya Varvak, 54, of Orlando, and Joel Shoaf, also of Orlando.
