Five People Injured after High-Speed Chase in Orange County
On Friday, August 24th, police officers working with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of burglaries happening within a residential area inside of Orange County. When deputies reached the area, sometime around 3:30 in the morning, they quickly located the car believed to be carrying those committing the robberies. The car itself had also been reported as stolen sometime earlier in the morning, although it is not clear if this theft was what precipitated the police response of if they were indeed at the scene in response to the domestic break-ins.
Elderly People Severely Injured by Car in Volusia County Parking Lot
A spokesperson for the city of Ormond Beach recently released a statement concerning an auto accident that took place on the morning of Friday, August 17th, in the parking lot of a Volusia County Big Lots. This initial report included the details that two individuals, neither of whom were named, were struck by a single car and that both of these people suffered from serious injuries as a result.
Car Crashes into Parked Semi-Truck, Leaving Two Floridians Dead
Two people from Lakeland were killed Sunday during an auto accident that occurred on Interstate 75. According to the police report, the accident happened when a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Lakeland female was driving southbound in the right hand lane of the interstate. Near Mile Marker 396, the vehicle suddenly veered out of the right lane and into a semi-truck parked in the right emergency lane. The car then ricocheted off the semi, crashing head-on into a tree.
Orlando Man Sues Driver for $15,000 in Damages
An Orlando man who was injured during a 2017 automobile accident has filed a Florida personal injury lawsuit against the driver of the other vehicle. In the suit, the plaintiff is seeking over $15,000 in damages, based on the claim that the December 18, 2017, car crash left him seriously injured and disabled. The crash happened near the intersection of Crystal Creek Boulevard and the John Young Parkway in Orlando.
Massive Pileup on State Road 429 in Orange County
At least one person was hospitalized after an incident that happened in the Orange County city of Ocoee on Friday morning, July 27th. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the events that led to this began at close to 6:30 in the morning and ultimately involved numerous vehicles and resulted in a massive lane closure.
Collision Between Two Cars in Orange County Leaves One Dead, Two Injured
A crash that took place within Orange County on Saturday, June 30th, has resulted in the untimely death of one person and the serious injury of at least two others. Initial reports on the crash came from the Florida Highway Patrol. Their report stated that the accident happened shortly after 1:00 in the afternoon, around where Pine Hills Road and Indian Hills Road intersect.
T-Bone Crash in Orlando Leaves One Dead, Two Injured
A Saturday Night crash in Orlando on the 3rd of March left one person dead and several others in the hospital after a T-bone crash at the intersection of Wetherbee Road and Bohannon Boulevard. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the emergency calls reporting the crash and were some of the first official units on the scene.
Fatal Wrong Way Crash in Orlando
A 73-year-old male was killed when his car struck an oncoming vehicle last Sunday. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the two-vehicle crash happened on State Road 19 at Lake Smith Road in the early evening. For a yet-unknown reason, the 73-year-old was driving his Chevy pickup truck in the wrong direction when he struck the oncoming Chrysler van head on. Both individuals were transported to nearby hospitals. The 77-year-old was pronounced dead at Florida Hospital Waterman, while the 55-year-old was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
Speeding Driver Unable to Stop, Hits Vehicle in Orlando
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating an Orlando area automobile crash that happened late Friday night. The two-vehicle accident left one person, a 56-year-old Orlando woman, dead. According to the FHP, a 31-year-old male was driving south on Rio Grande Avenue when he hit the car driven by the 56-year-old female as she was trying to make a left turn. Police believe that the 31-year-old male was speeding and therefore unable to stop. The female driver was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she died. The male driver suffered minor injuries.
Car Runs Red Light, Causes Fatal Crash in Orlando
A collision along South Orange Blossom Trail in Orange County this past Wednesday left two individuals dead and another couple hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol discussed the incident in a report issued shortly after the crash. In this report, they say that the collision happened early in the morning, just after 2:15, and involved a black Honda and a red Pontiac.
