Orlando Racing Incident on Interstate 4 Results in Multiple Charges and Arrest
Florida Highway Patrol troopers have announced that they have arrested at least one driver involved in a recent racing incident and pursuit on Interstate 4 in Orlando. The trooper who arrested one of the drivers involved in the race said that he was getting onto eastbound I-4 from State Road 408 around 4:30 a.m. on recent morning when he saw drivers racing in front of him.
Report Shows Florida Roadways Growing More Dangerous
A report was recently issued by the Florida Department of Transportation that confirmed something the legal community already knew: Florida roadways have become much more crowded and dangerous. The DoT report, titled, “Traffic Crash Facts Annual Report 2012” was published in October 2013. In generating the report, authors parsed a wide range of accident data dating back to 1991.

An Orlando man was struck and killed recently in a collision between his motorcycle and a van in east Orange County. Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported that the accident occurred on Colonial Drive near Forsyth Road around 3 a.m. one recent morning. They say that the 25-year-old victim was traveling west on Colonial Drive when his motorcycle was struck on the side by a van driven by a 26-year-old man, also from Orlando.
Worker Killed in Florida Construction Accident
A recent Florida construction accident in Jacksonville has claimed the life of one worker, who fell more than 120 feet from the roof of an aircraft hangar at Cecil Field. The victim was a 26-year-old Virginia man, who was part of a team of workers building a huge hangar at the airport. Investigating officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office report that the man was attempting to move from one part of the roof to another when he momentarily disconnected his safety harness and lost his footing while trying to re-attach it. The victim’s brother was working at the site when the accident occurred and watched his brother fall to his death.
One Person Killed, Two Others Injured in Florida Boating Accident
A recent boating accident near Elliot Key has claimed the life of a woman and critically injured two men. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials investigating the accident say that the fatally injured victim was a 37-year-old Colombian woman. FWC officials report that the accident occurred around 10:20 p.m. when the 23-foot boat piloted by one of the survivors collided with a 36-foot boat that was anchored. Investigators do not yet know how fast the boat was traveling when it collided with the anchored boat and have not said if they know why the boat operator was unable to avoid the collision.

Central Florida Trucking Accident Kills Two Orlando Men
A recent trucking accident in Osceola County has claimed the lives of two Orlando men, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. The victims, ages 23 and 32, died from injuries suffered when their passenger vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on U.S. 192. A third passenger in the car, a 20-year-old Windermere man, and remains listed in critical condition in an area hospital with undisclosed injuries. Troopers report that The 23-year-old victim was driving a 2003 Ford sedan north on Alligator Lake Shore West around 2 a.m. when he attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of U.S. 192 and collided with a semi driven by 47-year-old Orlando man.
