RSSMan Killed in Orlando Motorcycle Accident
An Orlando man was struck and killed recently in a collision between his motorcycle and a van in east Orange County. Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported that the accident occurred on Colonial Drive near Forsyth Road around 3 a.m. one recent morning. They say that the 25-year-old victim was traveling west on Colonial Drive when his motorcycle was struck on the side by a van driven by a 26-year-old man, also from Orlando.
After reconstructing the accident scene, troopers say that the driver of the van was attempting to make a left turn when his van struck the left side of the motorcycle. The rider was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. The driver of the van was not injured in the accident. Troopers report that they have not located any witnesses and are actively seeking anyone who may have witnessed the collision. They have not yet determined which man had the right of way at the time of the accident. The FHP investigation is ongoing and troopers say that charges against the driver of the van are pending.
