Three People Injured in Deland Afternoon Accident
Three people were seriously injured Friday afternoon when their 1993 Buick sedan crashed into a tree near the intersection of County Road 42 and State Road 44. The 30-year-old male driver of the vehicle and a 29-year-old female were in the front seat at the time of the collision and both were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries. A one-year-old child who was restrained in a child safety seat in the back was also transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. The child’s injuries were only minor.
Fort Lauderdale Boat Crash Results in Fatality, Numerous Injuries
A Florida boating accident that occurred Saturday evening on the Intracoastal Waterway near Fort Lauderdale has claimed the life of one victim. Officials at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission indicate that two boats carrying approximately 10 people were traveling together along the waterway at about 8 p.m. when one of them hit a concrete dock. The force of the impact was great enough to throw at least one occupant out of the vessel into the waterway. Neighbors in the area rushed to the scene when they heard the impact from the accident, which could be heard for a considerable distance.
Volusia County Rollover Accident Results in Fatalities
State Road 40 near Ormond Beach, was the scene of a horrific rollover accident Monday afternoon. Florida Highway Patrol indicated that an eastbound SUV was traveling along West State Road 40 when the right rear tire separated from the vehicle.

An accident involving a tractor-trailer hauling chemicals on I-95 brought traffic to a stand still for hours Tuesday. Officials say that a Mitsubishi Montero driven by 27-year-old Fritz Donatien of Fort Lauderdale swerved to avoid debris in his lane while traveling south on I-95.
