Pedestrian in Sanford Killed by Train

In the unincorporated town of Sanford an investigation is currently underway regarding a collision between a SunRail train and a pedestrian. While the police try and piece together all the available information, there are a few facts that have been released in a report from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office via Sgt. Celines Rios. According the Sgt. Rios report, the accident took place somewhere around 8:30 in the evening, close to where the SunRail train station is located along the 800 block of Sunrail Drive and near to where Monroe Road and the tracks intersect.

Two-Car Collision on Osceola Parkway Leaves 86-Year-Old Dead

Two Boys on Bicycles Receive Non-Critical Injuries in Collision with Car in Orange County

A frightening accident happened on the the morning of March 1st in the eastern part of Orange County that thankfully resulted only in minor injuries, but that reinforced for several people just how tentative our hold on life can be. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred close to 8:00 in the morning, at the intersection of Alafaya Club Drive and Lokanotosa Trail. Two boys, aged 5 and 8, were riding their bikes to their elementary school when they began crossing the street. At the same time, a red Nissan Maxima was driving nearby. It is not clear exactly how, whether the boys forgot to look or whether the driver of the car was not paying attention, but the two boys were hit by the car.

Fiery Crash Leaves One Dead in Miami

A fiery crash left one person dead in Miami, Florida earlier this week. According to Miami police, the accident occurred at 11:46 pm at the intersection of Northwest 103rd Street and Northwest 22nd Avenue. The car accident involved a stolen Acura, who was traveling down 22nd Avenue at a high rate of speed when he collided with the victim, who was traveling west on 103rd Street. Upon impact, the other vehicle flipped over, crashed into an adjacent business, and burst into flames, which, according to one witness, were so huge that “there was no way anybody could survive”. According to a Miami-Dade police officer, the victim was unable to exit the vehicle and died inside. The business also sustained damage from the fire.

One injured, three dead in Hollywood, Florida Car Crash

One woman was rescued while three others were killed as the result of a severe Hollywood, Florida motor vehicle crash that happened early Sunday morning. The accident, which happened at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and 35th Avenue, involved a black Nissan crashing into a white minivan.

Hit-and-Run Kills 67-Year-Old Woman in Orlando

A Friday night hit-and-run accident has taken the life of a 67-year-old woman who was attempting to cross Lake Underhill Road in Orlando. According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s report, Sergio Alvarado, a 25-year-old, was behind the wheel of his Honda as he drove down the eastbound lane of Lake Underhill Road, slightly west of where Lake Underhill Road intersects with Dean Road. Bobby Rainey, the pedestrian, was at the same moment beginning leave the north side of the road in an attempt to make it to the south side’s shoulder. For reasons that are not currently clear, Rainey’s rout took him in front of Alvarado’s Honda.

Train Collides with Car in New Smyrna Beach

A collision between a train and a car in New Smyrna Beach has left one woman dead and the police department looking for answers. The train accident, which occurred early on Friday morning, took place along Canal Street, close to where U.S. 1 passes through through the Florida landscape. The train was making its routine trip down the tracks when the conductor, who has not been named, noticed a car stopped in the middle of the crossing. This is believed to have been around 3:30 in the morning.

Woman Killed in Lake Mary Car Accident

On Wednesday night an accident took place along I-4, at the entrance to the Lake Mary rest stop, that left a 29-year-old woman dead and the Florida Highway Patrol searching the scene for clues as to what exactly happened. The accident was initially reported around 1:50 in the morning, well into the deepest sleep of most Florida citizens. As far as the Florida Highway Patrol has been able to reconstruct the series of events that led to this unfortunate accident, a Deltona resident named Vanessa Rivera was driving her 2001 Acura along the eastbound lanes of I-4 when she neared the Lake Mary rest stop.

Palm Coast Dog Attack Leaves Service Animal Dead and Owner Badly Injured

On Tuesday, Helena and Neal Karnani were walking their two-year-old Labrador/pit-bull near to a Palm Coast Apartment complex when the dog managed to break free from their control and begin running through the apartment complex’s parking lot. According to the Karnani’s statements, their dog, named Wilson, was a large and fast animal who became increasingly agitated and loped away from its owners. The Karnani’s attempted to catch the animal, but their efforts led to nothing as Wilson became increasingly confident that they were not up to the task.
