Unknown Woman Steals Pizza Delivery Car, Crashes into Home
At this present moment, the authorities in Florida are still looking for a woman who is being accused of stealing a pizza delivery car from its driver on Wednesday Evening before subsequently crashing this car into a private home. According to a report issued by the Florida Highway Patrol’s Sgt. Kim Montes, the pizza delivery man had left his car for a few moments in order to deliver a pizza when the unknown and unnamed woman climbed into the car and drove off. The theft happened around 7:30pm, and the woman drove the car down Winder Trail, crossed over three separate yards, and ultimately crashed the vehicle into a home. During the time of the accident, the home was empty.
Orange County Accident Between Car and Helicopter
Around 2:00 Wednesday morning, in Florida’s Orange County, a helicopter landed in the center of Westbound U.S. Highway 192, near State Road 429 and Walt Disney World, to pick up a man who had been struck by a car. A report released by Florida Highway Patrol deputies says that the helicopter had landed on the roadway and crews were in the process of evacuating the injured man when a car, driven by the 20-year-old Cameron Sunderly, blew through the roadblock and collided with the helicopter’s tail end.
One Killed, One Hospitalized in I-4 Crash Near Lakeland
On the morning of Tuesday, February 16th, 2016, a man was killed and another man was hospitalized when the truck they were in crashed into a barrier on I-4 and turned over.
Teen Killed in Ocoee Car Crash
In an unfortunate car accident on the morning of Monday, February 8th, 2016, a teen driver was killed in his hometown of Ocoee. The accident occurred around 3:08 a.m. near Wesmere Parkway on Roberson Road, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash. It is uncertain whether there were any witnesses on the scene at the time the incident occurred.
Two Men Killed in a Tampa Wrong-Way Collision
Interstate 275 is back open near downtown Tampa after a deadly wrong-way crash on February 13th. The two cars collided on the Ashley Drive exit ramp around 5:40 a.m. Both drivers, two men, died as a result of the crash. The road was closed for nearly 5 hours as investigators looked through the wreckage. The victims were identified as Eugene M. Fischer, 65, and Larry Lorenza Thompson, 47, and were the only people involved in the accident. The investigation into what caused this fatal accident is still underway, but Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Steve Gaskins released a statement about the how drivers can avoid these all too frequent wrong-way accidents that often occur at night.
Florida Man Confronts Driver After Crash, Is Hit And Killed By Oncoming Car
In a terrible combination of two separate accidents, a 68-year-old man was struck and killed by a car after he attempted to cross the road to confront the driver of the vehicle with which he had just been in another car accident. Both accidents occurred on Sunday, February 21st, 2016 on East Lake Road near the Pasco County line.
I-75 Ramp Crash Critically Injures 26-Year-Old Parrish Woman
A car crash that occurred early on the morning of Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 caused critical injury to a 26-year-old Parrish woman. The incident occurred on an entrance ramp to Interstate 75.
Jefferson County Crash Kills One, Injures Another
As a result of a severe car crash that occurred on the morning of February 19th, 2016, one individual was killed and another was hospitalized. The accident occurred around 7:00 am near the intersection of Main Avenue and W. Washington Street near Monticello.
Failure to Stop Causes Accident, Injuries in Suwannee County
Two Florida men, one from Branford and the other from Fort White, were airlifted to the University of Florida’s Shands Hospital following a weekend two vehicle accident. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the 55 year old Fort White man was driving his 1999 Toyota Camry north on County Road 137 near the intersection with State Road 247 in southeastern Suwannee County (northeast of Branford, east of O’Brien). The other driver, age 65, was headed south on State Road 247 in his 2015 Ford Expedition, also approaching the intersection with County Road 137.
Baby Saved from Burning Car Moments before Explosion in I-95 Crash
In an incredible, heartbreaking turn of events on the morning of November 20th, 2015, two men discovered a burning vehicle on the side of I-95 and were able to save the baby in the backseat – just moments before the car exploded. The driver and father of the baby, 31-year-old Daniel Dufek, was dead before the two good Samaritans ever reached the burning wreck.
