NASCAR nation is mourning the loss of beloved pit crew member William “Rowdy” Harrell this week after the tragic news came in that he and his wife were killed in a car accident on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020, while celebrating their honeymoon in the Florida Keys. Harrell, who had been an intricate part of Hendrick Motorsports since 2013, and his brand-new bride, were only married for three days when the fatal collision occurred.
75-Year-Old Woman Killed in Daytona Beach T-Bone Crash
According to official statements released by the Daytona Beach Police Department, a 75-year-old woman has sadly passed away from the severe injuries she sustained after her vehicle was involved in a T-bone collision almost a week ago on Friday, November 13th along Clyde Morris Boulevard in Volusia County.
Devastating Crash in Orange County Kills Two and Injures One
Members of the Florida Highway Patrol working within Orange County were among the numerous first responders to the scene of a crash that happened within the county towards the beginning of November. Reports from the FHP stated that the incident involved at least two vehicles and resulted in at least two fatalities as well as one person hospitalized with serious injuries.
Moped Driver Dies After Collision in Melbourne
Police officers within the city of Melbourne are involved in an investigation into an accident that took place during the night of Tuesday, November 10th, and resulted in the death of a 62-year-old woman. The woman, a Melbourne resident, was driving her moped down East University Boulevard shortly before the incident took place.
According to the reports, the 62-year-old was alone on the moped at the time of the crash. It is believed that they were traveling down a different road when they reached the intersection of East University and this other road. The 62-year-old then entered the eastern lanes of East University Boulevard.
Orlando Police Department Officer Involved in Violent Collision
An officer with the Orlando Police Department is one of several individuals who was involved in an auto accident that took place during the afternoon of Monday, October 26th, say reports from this same agency. What we know at the time of this writing is that it was sometime after 4:00 when police officers received an emergency dispatch that caused certain officers, including the one involved in the crash, to speed towards an unspecified location. The officer in question was inside of a marked squad vehicle and had reportedly activated both their lights and siren.
Orlando Man Killed After Being Thrown From Pickup Bed in Crash
Authorities within Seminole County are working to put together the sequence of events that led to an individual dying after being thrown from the bed of a pickup truck as it was traveling along State Road 417. At the time of this writing, reports from the Florida Highway Patrol indicated that the incident took place shortly after 2:00 on the morning of Wednesday, October 14th.
Stolen SUV in Fatal Crash with Pickup in Polk County
A trio of young men are facing numerous severe charges after being involved in a series of thefts that culminated in a lengthy car chase throughout central Florida and, ultimately, a fatal crash at the intersection of Interstate 4 and U.S. Highway 192. The incident began during the morning of Wednesday, October 7th, within the City of Tampa, when the Tampa Police Department began to receive reports of a string of thefts, including that of a gun, from cars.
18-Year-Old Dies in Two-Car Crash in Sumter County
One person is dead, and another injured after an auto accident that was nearly head-on which occurred within Sumter County on Wednesday, October 14th. Three Family Members Killed in Polk County Head-on Collision
Authorities with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating a tragic fatal multi-vehicle accident that claimed the lives of four people late Friday evening along S.R. 60 near Indian Lake Estates in Lake Wales near Winter Haven. Preliminary reports indicate that an 83-year-old driver was traveling at an excessive speed when he attempted to pass another vehicle within a no-passing zone. This dangerous decision led to a catastrophic chain reaction of collisions along the roadway, as well as the unnecessary deaths of the driver and three additional innocent victims.
One Teen Dead, Three Seriously Injured During Early Morning Crash in Clermont
A deadly collision occurred within the Florida city of Clermont near the end of September that resulted in the death of at least one person as well as the injury of three others. Reports so far have indicated that the incident happened very early in the morning on Tuesday, September 22nd, and involved a Toyota Corolla and a Penske box truck. Inside of the Toyota at the time of the crash were four teenagers, all of them between 13 and 14 years of age. Inside of the Penske truck were two individuals who were not described in the initial report.
