Local Resident Killed During Crash with Pickup in Leesburg
Officers with the Leesburg Police Department are currently investigating the death of a 73-year-old man after he was killed during an auto accident with another motorist last Wednesday morning along U.S. Highway 441 in Lake County.
Preliminary crash details from the traffic unit with the Leesburg Police Department indicate that it was approximately 11:40 a.m. on May 24, 2023, when 73-year-old local resident David Reno was driving a silver 2007 Chevy sedan-style car in the northbound direction of U.S. Highway 441, approaching Perkins Street. The two victims from the pickup truck were treated for undisclosed injuries, but survived the deadly incident.
The driver of the Chevy, 73-year-old David Reno, sustained life-ending injuries during the collision and passed away at the medical facility later in the day.
