Orange County Pickup Truck Accident Kills Two Men
A tragic fatal pickup truck accident occurred this past Sunday morning at approximately 10:45 a.m., when two men were injured and two men were killed in a terrible rollover collision on Orange Blossom Trail near Mott Avenue in Orange County, Florida.
The 67-year-old pickup truck driver, an Orlando native with two additional passengers riding along with him, was travelling southbound on Orange Blossom Trail when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons and veered into oncoming traffic, causing a side-impact collision with an Acura SUV that was travelling in one of the northbound lanes on the same road. The impact of the crash with the Acura caused the pickup truck to roll over onto its side before finally coming to a complete stop.
Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident, and subsequently transported one of the truck’s passengers to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he passed away from his injuries. The other passenger that was in the truck at the time of the accident was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck sustained critical injuries and is currently hospitalized. The driver of the Acura SUV, 35-year-old Demetrius Dozier, received minor injuries in the accident and was treated at the scene. The investigation into this case is ongoing, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Authorities are withholding the victim’s names until their families have been notified.
