On Monday, September 14th, 2020, authorities with the Daytona Beach Police Department responded to 9-1-1 calls of a potentially fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a pickup truck close to the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and South Ridgewood Avenue. According to preliminary statements retrieved at the scene, the victim was attempting to cross the busy street outside of the designated pedestrian walkway when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

On Saturday, June 15th, police working within Daytona Beach received reports about a car vs. pedestrian accident that had taken place along Nova Road. According to the report filed by the Daytona Beach Police Department, the incident happened sometime during the night, although the initial updates on the story did not mention the specific time.
