Two Trauma Alert Victims after Two Car Crash in Orange County

By Orlando Personal Injury Attorney on July 29, 2019

A collision that took place on Saturday, July 27th, resulted in the hospitalization of two individuals, both of who were declared to be trauma alerts when they were admitted to an Orange County emergency medical facility. Early responders to the incident included the Orange County Fire Rescue. The report that this organization issued after the crash was widely distributed throughout local news agencies and included the information that the collision involved two cars and an unknown number of people.

The accident happened either close to or at the intersection of Dean Road and Winder Trail. The precise time that the accident occurred was not included among the pieces of information included in the initial report, although, as mentioned above, we do know that the accident took place at some point during the weekend.

It is also not clear if the two vehicles involved were traveling in the same direction, opposite directions, or perpendicular directions as the reports failed to state if the cars were on Dean Road, Winder Trail, or a combination of the two. It is possible that one of the cars was attempting to turn off of Dean Road or Winder Trail onto the other of these two roadways and became involved in the collision after crossing traffic at an inopportune time. It is also possible that something happened inside of one of the cars to cause the driver to cross into the opposite lane of travel and crash head-on into the other vehicle.

What we do know is that as a result of the crash one of the individuals involved was thrown from their car while it rolled over. It is believed that this individual was not wearing a seatbelt. Another person, inside of the second vehicle, was trapped in the car following the crash. When emergency response crews reached the area they managed to free the trapped person from the car. Both this person and the one who was ejected from the vehicle were rushed from the scene of the incident to a nearby hospital. As mentioned above, they were both considered to be trauma alerts when they arrived at the medical facility.

No updates to this story have yet to be released.
