Popular Model Killed During Rear-End Car Crash in Orlando
After rumors of her death started to circulate online, it has been publicly announced that Venezuelan model Ariana Viera sadly succumbed to the severe injuries she sustained during a rear-end collision with a semi-truck on Boggy Creek Road near Lake Nona back in mid-July.
According to crash reports from the Florida Highway Patrol working within Orange County, it was close to 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2023, when 26-year-old Ariana Viera was driving a Mazda CX-30 in the southern direction of Boggy Creek Road near the Orlando International Airport. Directly in front of her car was a semi-truck and when both vehicles approached the intersection of Boggy Creek Road and J. Lawson Boulevard, the driver of the semi slowed his truck for the upcoming red light. For reasons that are still unknown, Ariana Viera failed to slow her vehicle and crashed into the back of the semi.
Orange County emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of the car/semi-truck accident and immediately transported Ariana Viera to UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando. She managed to survive for several hours before ultimately passing away from her injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck, a 51-year-old man from Atlanta, sustained minor injuries during the collision and was also transported to the hospital for treatment.
An article from a popular lifestyle magazine states that Ariana Viera was preparing to possibly enter the 2023 Miss Latin America and Miss World 2023 pageants. A GoFundMe account has been created by the victim’s mother, Vivian Ochoa. “She helped so many people. She did what she could to help or listen to you, even if she didn’t know you…she was always there for her friends, her brothers, for her mother,” she said in a statement.
This case is currently under investigation.
