One Dead in St. Cloud after Man Rams into Girlfriend’s Car
A series of auto accidents resulted in a person being killed in St. Cloud on Friday, March 15th, after they were unwittingly involved in an accident caused by a person who was angry at their girlfriend. According to reports from the St. Cloud Police Department, the incident took place sometime around 10:30 at night and wound up involving 5 different vehicles.
What we know so far is that a 34-year-old was driving in one car and following his girlfriend who was driving in another car. Inside of the woman’s car were numerous people, although it is not clear how many. Regarding the relationship between the two individuals, what we know is that the St. Cloud Police Department suspects that it became unstable on that evening while the two of them were inside of Orange County. Although the trajectory is not clear, it appears that the woman then left Orange County and drove with numerous people in the vehicle into Osceola County. It is not known if she was aware of this, but her boyfriend decided to follow her in another vehicle.
It was as they were traveling down Canoe Creek Road that the boyfriend made the decision to ram the vehicle being driven by the woman. It is not clear just what the man attempted to accomplish by doing this. As a result of this act, both of the drivers lost control of their vehicles and subsequently collided with numerous other cars. In total, five different cars were involved in Friday’s crash, each of them holding an unknown number of people.
Although the precise number of injuries sustained by individuals in this incident is not clear we do know that at least one person died as a result of the crash. The reports did not indicate if this person died at the scene of the incident or if they were still alive when EMTs and paramedics reached the area, but it is clear that by the end of the evening there was a single fatality as a direct result of the boyfriend deciding to crash into his girlfriend’s car.
The charges currently leveled at the boyfriend include vehicular manslaughter and aggravated battery.
