Nine-Year-Old Injured in Orange County Multi-Vehicle Crash

By Orlando Personal Injury Attorney on March 20, 2019

Numerous vehicles were involved in a crash that took place in Orlando on Friday, March 15th, close to 5:00 in the evening. According to reports from the Orange County Fire Rescue, the multi-vehicle auto accident involved several cars and a motorcycle, although it is not clear just what responsibility any of the drivers of these vehicles holds in the devastating incident.

Reports from the scene focus on the observations of witnesses who did not see the crash but heard the sounds of loud impacts, glass shattering, and, according to one such witness, the sound of something striking a concrete pole with tremendous force. When members of the Orange County Fire Rescue showed up at the scene they began to pull people from the wreckage.

One of the individuals who was involved and badly injured in the crash was a 9-year-old child who was traveling inside of an SUV at the time of the incident. This child was reportedly pinned inside of the large vehicle as a result of the crash and it took some concentrated effort on the part of the emergency response crews to free them from the vehicle.

This child was then transported to a nearby hospital along with three other people who were also injured in the crash. It is not known if these four people were the only ones injured in the collision or if they were simply those with the worst injuries. It is known that the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital as a trauma alert, but we do not know if any of the other injuries were considered to be life-threatening or critical in any way or if they were believed to be relatively minor and easy to be treated.

Other than the SUV and the motorcycle, it is not known if any other vehicles were involved in the incident. We do know that at least one of the vehicles involved collided with a fire hydrant, but it is not clear why this happened or if this only took place after the collision involving the motorcycle took place.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing at the time of this writing.
