Kissimmee Man Killed During Multi-Vehicle Crash on John Young Parkway
Authorities in Orange County are currently investigating the death of a 28-year-old man after he sustained fatal injuries during an auto accident along John Young Parkway last Sunday evening.
According to preliminary reports from members of the Florida Highway Patrol working within Orange County, it was shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2023, when a 28-year-old man from Kissimmee was driving a Nissan 370Z sedan in the southbound direction of John Young Parkway. As this driver neared the entrance ramp to State Road 528, he attempted to make a left turn to exit the highway and while doing so, his vehicle spun out of control onto the grassy median of the road before re-entering the northbound lanes and striking two oncoming vehicles.
Orange County emergency response teams and troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene of the three-vehicle collision and immediately transported the 28-year-old Kissimmee man to Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital with severe injuries. He was unable to survive and passed away shortly upon arrival.
The two other drivers involved in this fatal multi-vehicle pileup, a 65-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, both suffered minor injuries, but did not require a trip to the hospital. They remained at the crash site after the accident occurred and were said to be in full cooperation with the investigation.
No further information is known at this time. Additional updates are expected to be released to the public once the case has been closed.
