Search Still On for Florida Hit-and-Run Perpetrator
In Florida, a search is still underway for two cars involved in the hit-and-run death of Demostenes Molinar, Jr., a 50-year-old Orlando resident. The accident, which happened last Tuesday, around 8:30 P.M., occurred at intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and Clarcona Ocoee Road. Mr. Molinar was crossing the road via Orange Blossom Trail when another Orlando man (as yet unnamed), 29, hit him while driving a 2000 Toyota Camry. Mr. Molinar was then thrown into the way of a white Acura TSX, which ran him over.
Catastrophic Accident in Boynton Beach Kills 5 Year-Old Child
In a catastrophic accident on Sunday, February 15th, a 5 year-old boy was struck and killed by a car who was attempting to flee police. The sequence of events that led to the boy’s death began about 1:30 p.m. when Boynton Beach police attempted to stop Lex Eugene, 20, for reckless driving at the corner of Miner Road and Federal Highway in Boynton Beach. Eugene fled in a 2008 Buick Enclave and attempted to make a right turn onto northbound Summit Road when he lost control of the vehicle and went onto the sidewalk, striking Jayden Readon, 5, who was walking with his younger brother and his great-grandparents.
Florida-Based Circus Operator May Face Federal Fines in Wrongful Death
Walker International Events, an entertainment company based in Sarasota, Florida, may face up to $33,000 in federal fines for improperly anchoring a circus tent and failing to heed warnings by the National Weather Service indicating high winds associated with a storm in New Hampshire last August. The storm’s high winds caused the circus tent to topple during a performance, killing a father and his 6-year-old daughter. An additional fifty people were injured in the incident, including two circus workers.
Pembroke Pines Officer Involved in Fatal Crash
Early on Thursday, January 28th, 2016, a woman was killed in a crash that occurred on Pines Boulevard and 114th avenue in Pembroke Pines. The woman, 24-year-old Jessica Lee Bonilla of Miami Lakes, ran a red light at the intersection and entered the path of a Pembroke Pines officer’s eastbound Chevy Tahoe police SUV. The officer involved was identified as night shift Officer Olayemi Okegbola, who was not currently on his way to a call when the incident occurred.

A power outage that occurred Sunday night in West Palm Beach may have played a central role in a fatal car crash at the intersection of Okeechobee and Military Trail. The power outage, which affected several blocks in the area, may have caused the traffic signal that controls the busy intersection to malfunction. Tragic Christmas Day Crash Takes Life of Florida Motorcyclist
A motorcyclist was killed in a tragic Christmas Day crash in Riverview. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 3 p.m. in the northbound lanes of U.S. 301 near Big Bend Road. Troopers said 43-year-old Louis Matthew Bruno from Valrico was riding his motorcycle in the northbound lane on 301 when a southbound Chevy Impala turned left in front of him at Summerfield Square Drive. The front of the motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the Impala, being driven by 82-year-old Carole Sue Rink of Brandon. Bruno was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. Rink and her 15-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.
Worker Driving Lawn Mower Hit and Killed by Car in Orlando
In an unfortunate and unusual accident on Thursday, November 12, 2015, an Orlando maintenance worker who was driving a lawn mower was hit and killed by a car. The incident, which occurred within the Orlando neighborhood in which the man was working at the time, occurred when a blue Toyota vehicle smashed into the back of the lawn mower, where its driver was standing. Immediately after the accident occurred, the driver of the lawn mower was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Boca Raton Woman Dies in Crash on I-95
After a serious car accident on I-95 the night of Friday, November 20th, 2015, a middle-aged Boca Raton woman was killed. The victim, 44-year-old Hanna Tichy, was headed southbound on I-95 through Deerfield Beach in her 2005 Kia Sorento when she apparently swerved to the right and managed to flip the vehicle two times. According to reports, Tichy lost control of her car around 10:30 p.m. just south of the Hilsboro Boulevard exit.
Dunedin Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash
A 56-year-old man from Dunedin was killed after he was thrown from his motorcycle after colliding with a truck that crossed into his oncoming path on U.S. Highway 19 in Clearwater, Florida.
