Car Crashes Into Orlando Home, Pins Her Against Table
A week ago, on Tuesday, a 67-year-old woman was in her home at 7381 High Lake Drive. It was close to 9:00 in the morning, a usually quiet time for this particular stretch of High Lake Drive which is located in between North Hiawassee Road and North Apopka Vineland Road and close to Lake Gem Elementary School. The woman, who has not been named, was in her kitchen, sitting at a table, when a car suddenly drove through the kitchen wall.
Car Crashes into Cocoa Home, Three Children Injured
It was almost two weeks ago, on a Saturday, that McCarthy and her husband were fast asleep in their Cocoa home when they suddenly awakened to a loud crashing sound. Leaping from their bed, McCarthy’s husband rushed out of the bedroom and towards the source of the sound. He made his way to the home’s second bedroom, where his three sons, aged 5, 7, and 15, were sleeping. When he opened the door, he saw the room completely upended, drywall dust floating in the air, and the breeze from outside sweeping across his face. Most noticeable, however, was the car which was sitting in the center of the room on top of the demolished exterior wall.
Driver Falls Asleep, Causes Deadly Crash in Gaston Co
Florida Highway Patrol say that a driver who fell asleep behind the wheel was the cause of a deadly crash. The Gaston County crash happened early on 12 December near the intersection of Dallas Cherryville Highway and Mauney Road.
Orlando Car Accident Leaves Two Injured
According to police reports, two people were injured following a fiery crash between an SUV and a tractor trailer. The Orlando automobile accident happened in the morning of Monday, December 11th at the intersection of Millenia Boulevard and West Oak Ridge Road.
Winter Park Home Destroyed in Fire
Early in the morning in Winter Park this past Thursday emergency services throughout Orange County responded to a 9-1-1 call that indicated a home was on fire. Sirens wailing, engines with the Orange County Fire Rescue team rushed towards 801 Mare Bello Drive, where the call came from and where the firefighters could see the orange flames lighting up the sky.
Manhunt in Margate Reunites Stolen Car and Child with Parents
This past Wednesday, a manhunt was launched in Margate after a car was stolen outside of a post office. According to the official report from the Margate Police spokesperson, Sgt. Lorie Eller, the incident began when Elizabeth Marchand drove her 2016 BMW X1 to the post office located at 5094 Coconut Creek Parkway.
Car Runs Stop Sign, Hits Car and House in Sanford
A two vehicle crash in Sanford, Florida this week left one person dead and a nearby home damaged. According to the local police, the car accident happened around midnight when a blue Mazda sedan was speeding northbound on Bay Avenue. Failing to stop at a stop sign, the Mazda struck an oncoming vehicle traveling east on 7th Street. The impact of the crash caused the Mazda to become airborne. The vehicle then slammed into a power pole, tearing it in two and ejecting the driver and sending the back end of the vehicle flying over a fence and into the side of a nearby house.
Semi vs Car Accident Leaves One Dead in Gadsden County
Last week a 44-year-old male was killed during a Florida automobile accident. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the accident happened in Gadsden County. The 44-year-old, a semi-truck driver from Mount Vernon, Alabama, was traveling eastbound in his semi when a Honda Civic attempted to pass him.
Car Crashes into Orlando Rehab Center
A recent Orlando car crash left a 64 year old woman injured. According to police reports, the injury happened when a 35 year old male crashed his car into a health rehab center located on Merritt Island. Allegedly the driver was driving on Lean Street when he passed out, sending his car through two fences and crashing into the room where the woman was sleeping.
Two Injured during House Fire in Pine Hills
A fire at a private residence in Pine Hills was the cause of one hospitalization and one injured ankle early on Wednesday morning after firefighters with the Orange County Fire Rescue arrived to battle the flames.
