Eight Year Old Girl Hit by Car while Walking to School in Tampa
An eight year old Tampa girl was injured after being hit by a motor vehicle while walking to school this week. The car versus pedestrian accident happened on North Florida Avenue. According to a local news report, the girl was on her way to school when she was struck in the face by the side view mirror of a passing car. The accident happened as she stepped of the curb to cross the street. The girl was taken to a nearby hospital where she received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
9-Year-Old Survives Three Story Fall from Lake Buena Vista Resort Balcony
A family was enjoying a beautiful vacation at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa on Thursday when something unexpected and heart-stopping occurred. The family, which had traveled down from Michigan to enjoy the beautiful weather and sun of Lake Buena Vista, was packing up to go home. All their bags had been loaded onto a luggage trolley and the family left the room and began to proceed to the front desk to check out. Unbeknownst to the parents, one of the children, an unnamed 9-year-old, stayed behind in the room. The parents quickly realized that not all their children were accounted for and one of the other family members was sent back to the room to retrieve the wayward youth.

Yet another fatal accident between a pedestrian and an automobile happened in Lake Nona on Wednesday night. According to the detailed report filed by the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident involved two women: a 54-year-old Lisa Rydell and an 18-year-old who’s name was recently given: Janaye Hectors.

A car crash occurring Monday morning in Gainesville has left a 29 year old man and 36 year old woman dead. According to news reports, the motor vehicle accident happed on Southwest Williston Road near the intersection with Southwest Wacahoota Road.
Elderly Florida Couple Killed Following Two Car Crash
An elderly couple were killed this week following a fatal two-car crash. The auto accident happened near the couple’s home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The couple were returning home to the Siesta Bay RV Resort on Summerlin Road when they crashed into a car coming out of the RV park and attempting to make a left turn. The couple were taken to a local hospital where, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, they died.
Minor Injuries Follow a Fender Bender on Florida US 29
Two people are recovering from minor injuries following a car accident that happened last week near Pensacola, Florida. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 60 year old male was driving his 2014 Dodge Ram northbound in the outside lane of US Highway 29 near the intersection with Carolina Drive. At the same intersection, a 52 year old male driver in a Ford F-150 was stopped facing north in the outside lane of US 29. Directly behind him was a 39 year old female driver in her Chevy Malibu.
Florida Car Versus Train Accidents on the Rise
An 87 year old woman dies Friday after her car was hit by a Tri-Rail train in Palm Beach Florida. The accident happened at the Yamato Road crossing. According to police reports, the driver was traveling east on Yamato Road at approximately 8:30 in the morning. Although the railroad crossing gates were down, the driver drove her red sedan through the gates. As her vehicle crossed the tracks, it was hit by a southbound train. Police told a local news station that the driver was the only person in the vehicle. Although nobody on the train was reported injured, the accident closed the area to traffic for over six hours.
Motorcycle Rear Ended Leaves One Dead, Over a Dozen Injured In Miami

This is unfortunately the case for a recent motorcycle accident in the Miami area that involved a traffic cop just shy of two years away from retiring. The incident started when a SUV rear-ended the officer’s motorcycle, which set off a chain reaction that left five vehicles damaged, two people in critical condition, 11 in the hospital and one police officer dead.
SnapChat Video Indicates Speeding Was Cause of Deadly Tampa Bay Crash
According to the shaky cell phone video obtained by the Florida Highway Patrol, speed was the cause of a recent Tampa Bay area motor vehicle crash that claimed the lives of five – including two children. In the 10 second video filmed by the vehicle’s passenger, you can see the speed registers across the screen – first at 82.6 mph, then climbing to 115.6 mph – all with load club music playing in the background. The posted speed limit on this stretch of road is 50 mph.
21-Year-Old Man killed in Leesburg Traffic Accident ID’d
On Monday morning, a traffic accident occurred on U.S. 27 in Lake County, close to where the highway crosses with Independence Boulevard and close to where 31 begins. The accident was a destructive one, and several individuals were injured. One individual was killed. For several days, authorities were having some difficulty identifying the deceased person involved, but today that mystery has finally come to a close.
