According to preliminary incident reports retrieved from the Florida Highway Patrol and local news outlets, a 45-year-old Dunnellon motorcyclist was killed during the early morning hours of October 9th, 2020, after he was involved in an unavoidable fatal collision with a dump truck which was maneuvering a U-turn along State Road 40 close to Ocala in Marion County.

Motorcyclist Dies After Collision with Two Pickup Trucks in Volusia County
An afternoon crash between a pickup truck and a motorcycle resulted in the death of one person during the middle of September. An investigation into the crash remains ongoing, and initial reports on the events were issued by members of the Florida Highway Patrol working within Volusia County. According to their reports, it was shortly before 3:00 in the afternoon that a 23-year-old was riding a motorcycle down the southern lanes of U.S. 17. At this same time, a person who was not named or described was behind the wheel of a pickup truck. They were also traveling down the southbound lanes of U.S. 17.
Fatal Injuries Sustained by Motorcyclist in Lake County Crash
A spokesperson for the Florida Department of Transportation issued a statement towards the end of July relating to the death of a motorcyclist who was involved in an accident that took place within Lake County. The reports say that the incident happened shortly after 8:00 at night on Wednesday, July 22nd and involved a single car as well as the motorcyclist mentioned above.

Officers with the Ormond Beach Police Department are among those investigating a fatal accident involving a motorcycle that took place within the city on the afternoon of Saturday, May 23rd. The reports that we currently possess come from this department and indicate that the accident involved only two vehicles. One of these vehicles was the above-mentioned motorcycle.
