Two Injured in Orlando Crash

By Orlando Personal Injury Attorney on May 29, 2018

Authorities with the Orlando Police Department were some of the first to respond to an accident that took place on a Wednesday night several weeks ago in Orlando. Reports from the Orlando Police Department suggest that the incident happened at the intersection of Silver Star and Willow Bend, although it was not clear how many vehicles were involved or exactly what happened to cause the incident to begin with. We know that two people were injured in the collision, but further updates on their condition has yet to emerge from the Orlando Police Department or the Florida Highway Patrol.

It was sometime during the night when at least one vehicle approached the intersection of Silver Star and Willow Bend. After this, most of what happened next remains speculative as no clear reports have emerged to fill the public in on the accident as it happened. We know only that one or more cars suffered in a crash at the intersection which resulted in numerous power lines falling across the road as well as the injury of two people. The reports did not state if the two people were inside of the car during the collision, and, while that is most likely the case, it is also conceivable that either one or both of the injured individuals was a pedestrian who happened to be walking in the area.

It is not clear just who called the police to alert them to the accident, but emergency response teams from throughout Orlando and Orange County did arrive at the scene shortly after the crash took place. Paramedics were on hand to assist the injured people through whatever preliminary treatment they needed. The reports did not indicate if either of the two who suffered injuries in the incident were taken to a hospital or if perhaps the injuries they suffered were not serious enough to warrant a trip to an emergency medical facility.

After the initial investigation, the Orlando Police Department handed the entire case over to the Florida Highway Patrol. It is not clear just why the law enforcement agency within Orlando chose to do this, and the generally murky reports did not in any way clarify matters.
