Palm Bay High-Speed Crash Leaves One Dead, One Critically Injured
A high-speed car crash in Palm Bay this past Sunday has left one individual dead and another seriously injured as the Florida Highway Patrol searches for answers regarding this unusual case. According to the report filed by the Florida Highway Patrol and the statement given by Palm Bay Police Lieutenant Make Bandish the accident took place around 11:10 on Sunday afternoon and was initially reported by concerned residents along Eldron Boulevard and Estrada Street. Lt. Bandish says that the car, a white Hyundai, was driving incredibly fast down residential streets before the accident.
No other cars were involved in the crash, which occurred for reasons that are not currently known. Reconstructing the scene, the authorities say that the driver of the car, a 25-year-old named Trace Buck, was speeding down Eldron Street when he lost control of his vehicle. The Hyundai reportedly began to flip over before coming to a violent stop against a power pole made of concrete. The emergency response crews were not able to do anything for the mortally injured Buck and he was declared dead at the scene.
Riding in the car with Buck was another man, the 27-year-old Sean Nicholas Hall. When the emergency teams arrived they found Hall to still be alive, although in critical condition. After being carefully extricated from the car, Hall was airlifted to the Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne for proper treatment. At this time, there is no news on his condition.
The investigators in this case are dealing with a number of variables, but the two most important questions on their minds are, “why was this young man driving so fast and what happened to cause him to lose control of the vehicle?” There has been no information regarding alcohol or drug tests that may or may not have been conducted so far. It does seem safe to say that decisions were made by Trace Buck that led to his death & also left Hall in critical condition.
