Accident in Osceola County Leaves 22-Year-Old Dead
A disastrous crash along Boggy Creek road, close to where it crosses High Planes Lane in Osceola County, resulted in the death of one man and minor injuries to another. The Florida Highway Patrol has issued a statement regarding the accident which discusses the accident, what is believed to have caused it, and concludes with the recognition that the scene is still under investigation.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s report, two cars were driving along Boggy Creek Road, each going in different directions. A Toyota Corolla, headed east along the road, and a Hummer H3, which was traveling west, were nearing High Planes Lane when the driver of the Toyota, a 22-year-old from St. Cloud named Arden Niedenthal, did not succeed in piloting his Toyota around the curve appropriately. This caused him to cross over the line and into Boggy Creek Road’s westbound lane. It was at this time that the Hummer, driven by the 46-year-old Abdelhadi Bourouail, from Kissimmee, was also approaching the curve, and the Toyota subsequently crashed into the front of the Hummer.
The Florida Highway Patrol’s spokesperson, Kim Montes, has said that the accident, which happened shortly before 10:00 in the evening, was caused by an unknown reason, and that it is not clear exactly what happened to make Niedenthal lose control of his vehicle just as he began to navigate the curve. It is clear that the emergency response vehicles quickly arrived on the scene and transported both Niedenthal and Bourouail to nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the injuries incurred by Niedenthal were too severe, and he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving for treatment.
Bourouail, on the other hand, suffered from only minor injuries as a result of the crash. It is not known whether he was quickly released or whether the hospital staff thought it wise to keep him longer for observation.
This accident, regardless of how and why it was caused, has resulted in the death of an individual who likely leaves behind many friends and family who will mourn his passing. Every day, all across the state of Florida, accidents such as this occur to people and their loved ones.
