Man Dies in Industrial Accident in Orange County

By Orlando Personal Injury Attorney on February 3, 2020

Authorities in Orange County are among the numerous groups investigating an industrial accident that took place towards the end of January. Not much is currently known about the incident at this time, at least not much has been relayed back to the public. It is possible that the investigations undertaken at this time have unearthed information that simply hasn’t made its way to news outlets.

The pieces of information that we do know are limited, but they begin at 6:00 in the evening at an industrial location located along the 300 block of Sunport Lane inside of Orange County. Emergency crews rushed to this location after they began to receive reports of an accident taking place. The reports stated that an individual who was on the property, located to the south of West Sand Lake Road and to the west of South Orange Avenue, was badly injured when some pieces of equipment fell on them.

After the emergency crews reached the area, they rushed the injured individual to a nearby hospital. The injuries that this person sustained were critical, and despite the best efforts of the hospital staff there was nothing that could be done. They were declared dead sometime after arriving at the hospital.

Now, the goal of the investigation lies in uncovering just what happened to cause the individual to be crushed by the equipment and whether or not it was the result of improper practices on behalf of the business where the incident took place.

We don’t know at this time if the person was employed by the business, or even if the incident took place inside or outside of the building. We don’t know who called the authorities to report the incident, and we do not know the name of the deceased. The reports did mention that it all took place on a Thursday late in January, but beyond that we do not have much more actual information. This could be because the business where the incident itself took place is attempting to keep the information from being released or it could be because the family of the deceased has not authorized its release.
