Man Killed when Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing on Road Near Tampa
An already unusual incident turned tragic inside of Hillsborough County this past Thursday, April 4th, after a helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing onto a busy street close to Tampa. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident began close to 2:30 in the afternoon while a helicopter with two individuals was flying over 50th Street in Hillsborough County.
Class-Action Lawsuit Filed against Piper Aircraft
A lawsuit has been filed by the father of a person taking flying lessons after the plane they were in crashed and killed both the student and the flight instructor. The incident, which took place last April, happened within Daytona Beach. Officers with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office stated that the aviation accident occurred close to 10:00 in the morning, when a small Piper PA-28 Cherokee aircraft fell from the sky and landed close to 1496 Took Farms Road, near to the Daytona Beach Flea and Farmers’ Market.

Life Raft Falls from Helicopter, Crashes into Miami-Dade County Home
A homeowner in Miami received the shock of her life this past Wednesday when a helicopter used by the Royal Canadian Air Force during search and rescue operations somehow managed to accidentally release a large rescue raft while flying over her home. The Miami-Dade County Police has issued a statement regarding the bewildering incident that recounts how the helicopter was flying directly over a residential area when an 80-pound raft somehow became uncoupled from its harnesses. The report stated that the helicopter was returning to the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport after having spent the day engaged in various training exercises in the ocean off of Florida’s coast.
Fatal Private Plane Crash in Florida on Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve, a twin-engine Cessna 340 took off from Polk County Airport with the stated intention of flying to Key West for a quick lunch before returning later in the afternoon. Inside of the plane were the 70-year-old Shannon, the 24-year-old Shannon, the 26-year-old Worthington, the 27-year-old Worthington, Jr., and the 32-year-old Clayton.
