Volusia County Seaplane Crash Injures Two Men
On July 16th, 2020, authorities with the Federal Aviation Administration and Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission began an investigation into the cause of an aviation accident that occurred at Lake Dexter in Astor, and involved a small seaplane carrying two men.
Two Skydivers Injured After Parachute Malfunction in Titusville
Two skydiving enthusiasts were rushed to an area hospital in Titusville after a malfunction with two parachutes led to a less than ideal landing inside of a residential neighborhood. Reports relating to the incident began to emerge from emergency response crews working within Brevard County shortly after the incident itself took place. We know from these reports that it was sometime after 10:00 when the skydivers jumped from their plane and began to plummet to the ground.
Two Die in Small Plane Crash in Bartow
Emergency officials working within the town of Bartow in Polk County responded to calls placed close to noon on Thursday, February 13th, as a result of a small plane crashing into an area where many houses are present. Reports from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office indicated that the incident involved a small aircraft that was en route to a nearby airport or had just taken off from a nearby airport. It is not entirely clear whether or not the plane was being used to instruct students or if it was a private aircraft being used simply for leisure.

Due to its temperate weather, Florida remains a home or a destination to many people looking to engage in outside activities during the winter months. Skydiving, one of humanity’s more extreme pastimes, is one of those activities. Which is why it is somewhat fitting that every year Cocoa Beach hosts an event called Skydiving Santas.
Plane Crash in Daytona Beach Leaves Two Seriously Injured
A plane crash within the Spruce Creek Airport located at Daytona Beach resulted in two individuals being taken to nearby hospitals as trauma alerts. Reports from emergency response teams working within Daytona indicated that the incident took place sometime during the day on Sunday, October 27th. The reports did not mention at what precise time the accident happened, and at the time of this writing it is not clear just which of the numerous emergency crews located within Daytona Beach responded to the reports of the crash.
Fatal Ocala Plane Crash Claims the Lives of Two, Injures Another
Two people were killed and another injured this past Thursday, October 31st, 2019, when the aircraft they were flying suffered a mechanical malfunction, which then caused the plane to crash onto State Road 200 and collide with a vehicle that had been traveling along the highway.
Apopka Private Flight School Plane Flips During Landing
Students aboard a private plane used by an aviation school within the city of Apopka received the fright of their lives when the plane in which they were traveling landed on the runway in such a manner as to cause it, after numerous bumps, to roll over. The report from the Apopka Police Department stated that the aviation accident took place on the morning of Thursday, October 24th, just before 10:00. It was not immediately clear whether or not the pilot in charge of the plane at the time of the crash was an instructor or if one of the students was attempting to land the aircraft.
Two Men Injured in Leesburg Aviation Accident
Two pilots narrowly escaped with their lives this past Friday morning when the single-engine aircraft they were flying crashed shortly after takeoff, just at the edge of a runway near the Leesburg International Airport in Lake County.
Fatal Lake Maitland Plane Crash Claims Two Lives
On Wednesday, June 12th, 2019, a single-engine airplane crashed into Lake Maitland near Orlando, killing both the pilot and passenger – two South Carolina men who were aboard aircraft at the time of the accident.
Dozens Injured After Plane Crashes Into St. Johns River in Jacksonville
Making headline news around the country on Saturday, May 4th, was the report about a Boeing 737 that crashed in Jacksonville after skidding off the runway of NAS Jacksonville. The reports from the numerous agencies that responded to the aviation accident indicated that the flight was returning from Cuba’s Guantanamo Bay when it made its landing at NAS Jacksonville. Aboard the plane at the time of the accident were 142 individuals. It is believed that most of these people were civilians who were simply returning from Cuba after a vacation.
