Off-Duty Orlando Officer Discharged after Crashing into Toll Plaza
On Saturday, just after 6:15 in the morning, officers with the Orlando Police Department responded to reports of a crash and subsequent car fire at the toll plaza on State Road 408, close to Andes Avenue. When officers arrived, they were surprised to find one of their fellow officers already there, in civilian clothing. After a brief investigation, it transpired that the off-duty officer already on the scene was, in fact, the one responsible for the crash.
Fatal Head-On Collision with Delivery Truck in Orlando
An Orlando crash that took place early on Friday morning resulted in the death of one woman and the hospitalization of a delivery truck driver. Police with the Orlando Police Department are currently still investigating the accident, but it seems as though the crash happened just before 3:00 in the morning and involved two vehicles, one of them a large delivery-style truck.
Fatal T-Bone Crash at Waterbridge Drive
A 63-year-old Orlando man was pronounced dead at Orlando Regional Medical Center this past Wednesday evening after sustaining severe injuries in a car accident on Waterbridge Drive. According to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the man, Dario Pineda Romera, received the injuries while standing outside of his vehicle at the intersection of Waterbridge Drive and Orange Blossom Trail.
Chain Reaction Accident Leaves One Dead Near Orlando
An Orlando man died following an automobile crash on State Road 528 last Friday – a chain reaction crash that also left three others injured. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the accident started when a 31 year old male driver rear ended a 2013 BMW driven by a 37 year old male driver in the westbound lanes of State Road 528 at mile marker 31 in Orange County, Florida. The rear end accident left the BMW in the left late.
One Dead after Car Crashes into Trees Along Orlando’s Beachline
A crash involving a single vehicle along an Orange County stretch of the Beachline late on Thursday night resulted in the death of a 24-year-old man from Titusville and the injuries of two other individuals. The Florida Highway Patrol are currently investigating the situation, however they have issued a preliminary statement regarding the scenario that includes all the currently available information on the case.
Orange County Deputy Injured in Three-Car Accident
On the evening of August 13, 2017, at approximately 8 p.m. in South Orlando, an Orange County sheriff’s deputy was seriously injured after she involved in a three-car accident near the intersection of Americana Boulevard and John Young Parkway.
Accident in Orange County Leaves Three Injured
On Saturday afternoon, State Road 528 was the site of yet another devastating car accident. At around 4:30 in the afternoon, and just before the 21st mile marker, a car (which the initial police report did not describe) was traveling westbound on State Road 528 when something occurred either inside the cab or with the operating mechanism of the vehicle that caused the car to suddenly depart from the roadway and drive towards a row of trees at a high rate of speed. Unable to stop in time, the car collided with the trees, badly injuring the driver and causing less severe injuries to both passengers, one of whom was a child.
Poor Road Conditions in Orlando’s Lake Davis Neighborhood
As one of Orlando’s oldest neighborhoods, Lake Davis holds a place of high esteem in the minds of many Orlando residents (not the least of whom are those who live along its beautiful streets). Recently, an issue with the quality of the roadways has come up that is leaving those who live in Lake Davis understandably frustrated. According to these residents, the historic brick road located in their neighborhood has needed repairs for several years, but that now the state of the road is such that it is becoming dangerous.
Driver Runs Red Light, Causes Multi-Vehicle Accident in Orange County
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is looking for a woman accused of causing a multiple vehicle crash last weekend in Orange County, Florida. According to the FHP, the 50 year old female from Apopka was driving her Chevrolet Avalanche south on Hiawassee Road when she ran a red light located at the intersection of Balboa Drive. As she ran through the intersection, she crashed into the side of an SUV driven by a female driver and heading east on Balboa Drive. This collision then caused a chain reaction, with the SUV veering into a Chrysler driven by a 31 year old male who was in the northbound lanes of Hiawassee Road.
Passenger Injured in Deadly Sanford Car Crash
A 38 year old female from Deltona, Florida was killed over the weekend after her car left the road and crashed into a nearby tree. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the driver was driving her 2012 Hyundai sedan early Saturday morning on Oak Drive near the intersection with Riverview Avenue in Sanford when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the road and crashed into the tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
