It was close to 6:30 on the morning of Monday, February 15th, while a 41-year-old woman from Melbourne was walking along a Brevard County road, that a car being driven by a 59-year-old Melbourne resident approached the area of the street where the pedestrian was walking. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of the car told them that the pedestrian was walking in the middle of South John Rodes Boulevard, close to the intersection of Rogers Place when the fatal pedestrian accident occurred.
