Hobby Lobby Recalls Faulty Baby Rattle
The prominent and ubiquitous store Hobby Lobby has issued a recall on one of their products for children. The product is a baby rattle design that has been used in the design of many specific models of rattle. People who have purchased Hobby Lobby rattles such as the Little Wishes Chenille Stuffed rattle, the Pink and Green Fish rattle, or the Blue and Yellow Fish rattle are at risk and are encouraged to return the rattle.
The recall was issued because of faulty seams along the rattle that can easily split and cause the rattle stuffing and bell to emerge. The emergence of these elements can easily pose a choking hazard for young children. Individuals who have purchased these items can return them to Hobby Lobby to receive a refund for the price of purchase. Hobby Lobby has issued a report strongly urging people who have bought these rattles to cease using them at once and return them to a store as soon as possible for either a complete refund or credit in any Hobby Lobby store.
As of this moment, no reported accidents or incidents have occurred with the rattles, but this does not mean that the incidents can’t or will not happen. The rattle itself was manufactured in China and then subsequently around 14,400 units were imported by Hobby Lobby to the United States. According to Hobby Lobby, the rattle was sold in stores between January 2016 and April 2016 for a retail price of seven dollars.
People who have purchased this rattle or who suspect they may have purchased this rattle are encouraged to bring their product to a Hobby Lobby in order to ascertain whether or not their product has been included by the recall. Product recalls are important to keep track of, especially for people purchasing toys, clothing, and other objects for small children. As opposed to Hobby Lobby’s recall of the rattles, which claims that the defect was discovered before anyone was affected by the problem, product recalls often result from a malfunction in the hands of the unknowing consumer which causes harm to come to them or their loved ones.
